I contacted them a couple weeks ago. Had a local FFL mail it to them for me. (FFL wanted $20 to do so. Ruger wanted $40.) Got it back yesterday. Total turn around time was no more than two weeks. BTW - the return shipping was included in the cost.

Thanks for the clarifications on the 22 Longs. It was an assumption. I scrubbed the cylinders really well and rounds drop in and out freely now.

Will updating to a transfer bar affect the trigger (pull)? It has a pretty nice trigger now (that I would not want to mess up).

You may very well be right. I just looked up the serial number on the Ruger web site. 60-29XXX. Thanks - the guy I bought it from told me about that. I'll have to learn how to load it. Ha! I'm old enough to appreciate the "Grasshopper" reference! I will watch the video. Thank you!
