School teacher in Wisconsin SUSPENDED for handling firearm

You may be thinking of Erica Chevillar - former high school Social Science teacher from Boca Raton, FL. Some bikini pictures surfaced and everyone raised a stink, but she wasn't in violation of any school policy... I think she left the job for a more lucrative modeling gig, then ended up posing...

    Does everyone's AR-15 go "SPROINGGG"?

My Cavalry Arms carbine doesn't do it... must have something to do with the plastic tube. I was unaware of the noise until someone who owns a Bushmaster shot my rifle, then commented on the lack of SPPPRRRROINGGG. :neener:

    Smallest caliber you will carry

I didn't see the .700 Nitro Express on the list. Actually... my every-day carry is a NAA mini revolver in .22WMR, so I voted accordingly.

Purdue editorial: Automatic Assault rifles easy to buy

Great email, Tim. Thanks for putting that into writing - very eloquent. :)

    I fired a gun inside a bank

That is, as long as they weren't ad...ad...adj...adjudicated mentally defective. :D

    This website is banned,

We've got filters on our computers at work, which block weapons sites, as well as most proxy/anonymizer sites. Despite that, http://anonymizer.nntime.com works OK. :) Colin

How Many Know That You Carry? What Do You Say?

A few friends and coworkers know. Family members do not. Yet.

"Knotted Gun" at the UN building

I'm with BridgeWalker on this one. It's intended to provoke thought. Unfortunately, the thought it provokes is likely to be "OH GOOD ANOTHER EVIL GUN OFF THE STREET!" :( Colin

Poll: Bedside gun holstered or no?

I keep mine holstered, tucked under the pillow. I sleep on a futon on the floor, so there's no nightstand or bedframe to stash the gun in.

    Taurus

I carry an M85UL 2" stainless. I bent the center pin trying to execute a wrist-flip cowboy reload like an idiot... but other than that, it's worked fine. Also, don't dry-fire your M85 without snap caps. ;) Colin

It's black, evil and all mine!

Congrats on the purchase! I became an AR owner this weekend, too. I didn't go quite as high-end, but I'm satisfied. Got a 16" Cavalry Arms "CAV-15 Scout." :) Colin

    Are snapcaps really necessary?

In certain guns, yes. I firmly believe the frame-mounted pin in my M85 would not have become stuck in position had I used snap caps. The tapered pin was extending much farther into its bore than it ever would have under normal conditions (striking a primer or snap cap.) Use snap caps -...

Do you have pro-gun bumper or window stickers?

To each their own. I'm neither lazy nor cheap; similarly, I am not a fan of pissing away my hard-earned paycheck to support a lobbyist organization's absolutely bloated board of directors' plush lifestyles.

Do you have pro-gun bumper or window stickers?

Exactly. You're not changing anybody's mind.

Do you have pro-gun bumper or window stickers?

I've got a few stickers on my daily driver, and I've got a simple text decal on the rear window of my performance-oriented vehicle: "Professional driver. Closed course." :D Nothing political - just makes the car a target for traffic cops who possess an opposing viewpoint. Colin

    Are snapcaps really necessary?

I learned my lesson dry-firing my Taurus M85. I repaired the firing pin and bought snap caps. No problems since.

Freaked out, but Not too upset with my response.

Yup. Wal-Mart comes in, nothing else survives.
