Get the 21 SF it handles much better than a standard 21 unless you have huge hands

Go with the 308/30-06 instead of 30-30. Range, power, availability. If you get a 308 and later get a 308 semi, ammo will be for both. Consider a Ruger 10-22 for small game rifle, but Marlin a good choice.

I have been buying Kimbers since the 80's and have never had a problem with any of my guns. Kimber is more pre 64 Winchester like than anything USRA or the new FN Winchesters are. Price wise there isnt a dimes worth of difference anymore. Except the Kimber will retain more value down the road...

Looking to buy a AK-47 Yugo underfolder. Is the underfolding buttstock sturdy over time with use? Does the non-chromed barrel cause a problem shooting surplus ammo, ie. badly rusting, premature wear? Are com block mags (steel) better than us poly mags. Any help appreciated

Hunting: SWFA has a Leupold 3x9 for $199, that leaves $100 for rings mounts and scope covers and probably a box or 2 of ammo. If more magnification wanted for target then you will have to do a quality vs $ equation in your mind. Do you want a high end scope and more power or a lower quality...
