I was lucky enough to be born into a family of gun smiths and hunters. Some of my earliest memories are of toy broomhandle mausers and Star Wars blasters. We had hand made rubber band guns, slingshots and all other manner of projectile launching tools. Every available moment was spent...
Welcome to the forums! I pointed Kevin here after having him design a folder sheath for my Benchmade Rift. The pocket clip scratched my car door a few times when squeezing in after some inconsiderate person parked too close. Now it stays on my belt for easy access without damaging my paint...

Come on out to Texas if you need information technology support. Austin, Round Rock and George Town are all good places and the Texas Hill Country is with in a few miles. We like our weapons and have no problem signing off on SBR, AOW or supressors. No open carry but zero...
I started with one and then two. Some how the little bastards created a third one! I keep them as truck guns and havent had any problem with them. 00 is hell on varmints and the gun is cheap enough that I won't lose too much if some thief breaks into my truck.
I have a Winchester and a Marlin. The Winchester sits there and the Marlin gets all of the attention. Put a Williams sight on it and have yet to miss a hog or deer with it.
If you must have one the Bond is the best choice. I have fired 3" .410 #4 defense loads from Federal and you wouldnt want to be ont he receiving end of that. The recoil seemed to be straight back instead of up.
I used to be able to go to a show and get great deals. Now it's cheaper to just go to the dealer. The Tanner show in Denver had markups on AK's that were $100+ more than just going to the local shop.
I have several basic Mossberg HD guns without any tacticool things on them. The 590A1 stays in the safe. I'm a little paranoid of a liberal leaning jury freaking out over an EBSG. I have an old pump with the Cuts Compensator on it and it works. It throws plastic from the wads on everyone...
I just sold a Bond Arms Snake Slayer IV because it was way to heavy for the whole two shots it gave me. I shot both .410 3" mag and .45LC with little issue other than the weight. My Glock 27 with a full mag was about the same weight with way more fire power. Run from the derringer and run fast.
I would rather be covered with something that can fire multiple shots quickly. A bolt gun just isn't going to cut it with a hog chasing you around. I have freinds that use knives and dogs but they are a little crazy.
As a Bradley mechanic we used the hell out of our Gerber multi-tools that were issued. My little brother is over there now but he's convoy support so his mission is a little different. I sent him a heavy duty t-handled strap cutter and a Griptilian. His commander doesn't allow fixed blades...
I just picked one up a few weeks agao and it is now my favorite range toy. Ten rounds of 147g light ball will wake up the firing line. The scope that came with it is total crap so I have been using the open sights. Of the bench holding the same sight picture produces 2" groups at 100 yrds...
A couple of years back a unit in 1st Cav was running a Bradley Gunnery night qualification course. The Apache helicopter range is right next to the tank range. A moron TC allowed his turret to traverse out of the range fans and engaged Apaches sitting on their pads after a test flight. If my...
I live down the street from them in Golden so I do drop in there one in a while. I usually swap between a Benchmade Rift and a Spyderco Native but always leaned toward Benchmade. Spyderco held their annual second's sale today and the other half had to go run errands so I ran off to the sale...
I have yet to have one fail but that is because I use them as intended. The lock, on any knife, is a stop gap for those who forget what the knife was meant for.
