    Top-Loading Sacks vs Packs

Panel loaders are more convenient, top loaders can, as has been said, a crap load of weight. One of the keys on a panel loader is to have straps over it that can pull it tight if you have a smaller lighter load OR if the zipper blows out.

    Dating, Marriage, and Guns

Told my wife when she was my girlfriend that I was a gun guy and if she could not handle that fine, we could break up. She was fine. A couple years later her dad was all worried about us having guns, he's and old worry wart and she said, on the phone, "dad, we are gun people..." I was proud...

(WP) "Schools Teach the Hard-Edged Lessons of Combat" (duplicate threads merged)

There is a fundamental definitional difference between rules of the road and the type of regulation you are talking about.

Just tell me it will be OK!

If you have small hands try a Walther99 or SW99, a Ruger P95 might fit, but heavy for carry, Browning Hi-powers, the sigs mentioned above are good too. 1911's fit good, I just don't like their less than awesome reliability. I know, I know, flame me.

    Daughter's first job

Started working as a "weekend manager" for a gunstore when i was 13. I was lucky, I hung out and the owners wanted to go to gun shows, so I got the job.

    How to throw a punch

Gigabuist; I know what you're talking about with wrestling moves. A switch or standing switch on a non wrestler or even a wrestler who does not know you're an ex wrestler is funny. They were on top of you and all of a sudden they are stupidly wondering how you could be on top of them. It's...

Anyone used Advanced hearing Protection (AHP) hearing protection

Well, I ordered a pair of their deluxe and I'm going to be using them in a class with Andy Stanford. They have a 25 or26 on them for protection. The last ones I had were 21 and they weren't good enough. My understanding is that every 3 additional db reduces the sound by half. We'll see...

    This board stinks!

No way, here's a summary of the argument my buddy had with his girlfriend. She asked if you had to choose, would you buy clothes or guns? (You'd know she was of course female, who ran a clothing store) We both immediately said "guns", she said she would buy clothes and asked why we would buy...

    Is it time yet?

I agree with most everyone so far. However, when the time comes, and it probably will someday, don't wait until it's really hit the fan. By then it's too late if you want to be on the winning side. Don't ask me when that time might be 'cause I don't know. I guess it will be like the SC judge who...

Where to Order Eagle Industries Products Online?

You can rely on stubbygear also. He has a very good rep over on assaultweb and some other sites. Brad at Lightfighter is par excellence. He is good and knowledgable as is stubbygear.

    Range Bag/Toolbox

I use the Large brown rolling toolbox from Lowes/Eagle and it holds most stuff, then there's the daypack for the pistols and the toolbox for the less frequently used stuff that gets left in the truck.

    Lithium batteries

Good luck with Botach tactical. Their customer service sucks so bad that many of the forums I go to have threads with hundreds of posts on them under such things as "Botach sucks", etc. yes, they do have good deals, but what happens when they send you what you didn't want and you have to spend...

H Cap mags for Mini-14, how hard is it to find good ones?

John Masen mags work well too. I have had good luck with fed ord mags, at least the fed ord's that you could get a few years ago. I have found the minis aren't too fussy about mags, fortunately. If you get a bad mag, try putting a ruger follower in it, several people I've read about have done...

    Mec-Gar magazines

Mec Gar makes many of the factory mags. I know more than a few hard core types who say, "When the chips may be down, I'll only shoot factory or mec-gar."

    Surefire G2 Nitrolon

I have E2E and G2Z, they have, in my opinion, different functions. The G2 is a tactical light, the e2 is small enough to have all the time. I know I'm shading the differences. But get the G2, you won't be sorry, unless you need the smaller package of the E2.

    What's "zippering"?

Pelvis is a spongy bone, hard to break and as another poster pointed out hard to visualize to hit. Pistol not likely to break a pelvis, unless it's a big one and maybe not even then. Kyle
