Tung Oil
I use Tung Oil. One Coat a day. Sand with 600 grit & boiled linseed oil between coats. Doesn't fill real well but gives a great looking finish.

:)Just received a Nordic NC22 upper. It’s beautiful! Got to the range yesterday and fired about 150 rounds. Not a single failure to fire with Federal bulk 22LR. All of the controls on the AR15 lower work as designed. The one exception, the bolt hangs on the mag follower after the last shot...
:)Here's a well built green laser-Light for a good price. Mine is installed on a Glock 17 and fit perfectly. With free shipping the total was $189.00. Laser adjustment is quick and easy. I don't know about 220 lumens but it is bright.

I've been reloading pistol ammo for years. The 223 Rem is my first rifle cartridge. I've got the dies and read all my old reloading books. I've reloaded a few and things are going along well.
My question: Is a taper crimp die used for 223 Rem.
Thanks, Fourbits.
I have a WW2 Ithica Accurized in the 60's that has been trouble free for almost 50 years! It's set up for target loads (4.0 bullseye under a 200 grain LSWC) and has thousands of rounds through it. Just bought a Gen 4 Glock 17 and the recoil spring bound up after 60 rounds! Glock did quickly...
Crimping
I agree on the Lee Factory crimp die. I do use a seperate die for crimping with a four hole turret but it's not the Lee FCD. I admit it's not really necessary.
For pistols (9mm, 45 ACP, etc) I have found that a taper crimp die can solve a lot of reliability problems.

Lee Turret & Loads for 44 Special
I've been using a Lee Turret Press for years. I hope you got the Lee Auto Disk Powder measure. It's the safest way to go. Use the auto rotate feature. It adds a little safety to the reloading process. It's hard to get a double charge if the turret rotates...
Single Six Grips
Take a look at Privates Grips. I recently bought a pair and they are beautiful and fit perfictly.

I found that putting my right hand pinkie under the grip eliminated pain!. With three fingers on the grip the trigger guard would hit my finger. This was true even with mild 44 Special loads. My left hand naturally assumes a thumb forward grip.
New S&W 380 w/laser
Take a lok at the new S&W 380ACP pistol.

I know Cabelas is often criticized on many forums. Here’s a story that goes the other way. I ordered 2K small and 2K large CCI pistol primers at a time when orders over $100.00 got free shipping (A Christmas special). Cabelas first sent 2K small pistol primers. Charges were $20.00 for...
I can't find any primers or powder locally. I ordered small and large Wolff Primers from Weidners and W231 and Unique powders from Midsouth. It's worth the fees to keep shooting!
