The only time that happened to me was when I didn't realize that indent ball had popped out and rolled into the bolt hole. I used my son's magnet kit (think it was from Walmart) and the ball came right out.
Hope you figure it out soon, I know how frustrating things like that are. But unless...
I started on a Lee turret before getting my Dillon 550. I still use the turret for all my rifle size/deprime and for both rifle/handgun calibers that I shoot but not in large batches.
I'm another Dillon fan. I started on a Lee Turret then bought the Dillon 550 off of a friend about 9 years ago. It had sat in his garage for years so I sent it to Dillon for a cleaning, the thing came back looking brand new and many parts had been replaced. Their customer service is outstanding...
I'm just curious which is the largest size of bird shot that will drop reliably from the hopper. I was given a Lee Load All (a long time ago) and I'm thinking of putting it to use. If/when I start using the Lee and enjoy it I'll probably upgrade to the MEC 600.
Currently I load handgun and...
Sometime in the next few months I'll probably be getting a another rifle. I've been looking around and most of the ones I've been looking are set for scopes and don't have standard sights. How hard is it to add standard sights to rifles? I'd like to have 'back-up' sights if possible.
A couple years ago I called IMR and asked them that same question. They told me that TB would work fine with plated bullets but to use the higher end levels of lead data for the same weight bullet.
The ammo for the .38acp may be hard to find. But as ReloaderFred mentioned the components for .38acp and .38 Super are the same. If he can't find the ammo he can buy .38Super brass and bullets just make sure to use data for the .38acp to avoid a KB.
Ok, thanks. I've got two barrels for my shotgun now, one has a IC (20 inches) and you can't change out for other chokes, the other I use for bird hunting (28 inch) and while you can change out chokes I'm thinking the barrel would be way too long for competition. Thanks again.
I'm wondering if being able to switch out the chokes on your shotgun is required or just beneficial when shooting in 3 gun matches. Thanks for any help.
If the bullets weren't meant to have gas checks on them you won't be able to put them on what you have. You may have to just play around with powder charge amounts to find what doesn't lead the barrel up for you. You could also coat them with liquid alox or rooster jacket and that will help...
Not sure if fraud is your concern but if you don't like to use paypal and also don't want to enter your credit card/debit card info into the internet you could also buy one of those Visa gift cards from the grocery store. That way you buy the card and enter the info just like you would a regular...
You can actually back the top screw out a ways if you'd like on the seater and crimp dies and once you have the actual die to the proper placement (based on the shell plate) you can adjust those top screws to give you the cartridge overall length and crimp level you prefer.
I picked up a 1903 Colt this week (made in 1907) and might start loading for it. I've been loading for about 5 years or so and the smallest caliber I currently load for being 9mm and always guessed I wouldn't load anything smaller. Now that I have this .32acp I'm thinking about loading for it...
