Never used 180 SST in my .308, but the 150 SST @ 3000 fps smacks texas whitetails like the hammer of God.
Never used the gamekings, but heard their good.
Ok,
I did a quick search here and on the web and I could not find a definitive answer to my question. I have read that it is not wise to shoot commercial .308 Winchester in a 7.62 rifle. But it is ok to shoot milsurp 7.62 rounds in a modern .308 Winchester rifle. Is that correct?
Here’s what I...
I always thought if you could hit a paper plate at 100 yards, your good to go.
My dad has a .243 that he has put probably 5 boxes of ammo through without cleaning. Met his limit on bucks and does last year. Shots ranged from 80 to 150 yards. Deer were DRT in the kill zone.
My M70 shoots .5...
1911's are awesome!
The one my dad gave me. First 1911 i ever owned, and it is a colt series 70 mkIV. I will be getting another, oh yes, soon, very soon.

My dad gave me his Colt Series 70 MKIV
I am now a convert to the 1911. They are wonderful!!!!!
Can't wait for the next one. I've heard good stuff about the pt1911, but man those STI's are fine!!
When I was younger and not really into hunting my uncle on my dad's side was a recreational hunter with other guys at his company. (At least that is what he told me) My dad told me that he had a few rifles that were really nice but they were made in japan. You know, like the watch company:what...
243's rock. I personally don't own one but my dad does and he swears by it.
I've shot it quite a bit. It likes lighter rounds, like the 80 grain core lokts. Darn fine caliber. One of the best all around do it all calibers. Varmint to Deer.

That's cool. My wife goes to London about 3-4 times a year for work. She is my little RKBA babe across the pond while she is there. As if being 5 foot 10 inch blonde is not intimidating to them anyway. She tells me the stories about talking to them about hunting ,shooting, and camping they are...

Although, google does have a few sites come up stating Ball Bearing gun and BB gun are the same.

I think it may be one of those miniature "spud guns" made from brass or stainless pipe and of course miniaturized to accept bearings.
I used to make spud cannons and this is a common practice. You can also build them to shoot marbles.
Otherwise, I would figure the press would say an evil...
I hide one .38 in a common area, out of sight. My wife carries her's religiously. If she is not at home, neither is her weapon.
I take my weapon to every room. or at least it is never more than 10 feet away.
All others are locked up.
I have not had a chance to try any of the other weights in .308. I'm thinking about trying the heavier weights, just to see how my M70 likes them. I'm sure my scope will be off a bit.
I use the 240 grain XTP .44 mag in my marlin 1894 and i can keep 10 shots inside a paper plate with iron...
