    Recoil 270 verus 30/06

I have to say that the 270 is more suited to the 120 to 130 grain bullet than a 150. A friend of mine has bad back problems and I reload 130,s at a reduced load for him for mule deer and he has had no problems bagging his deer. It still boils down to hitting what you are aiming at. CZ-75 or EAA WITNESS?

I happen to own a Witness steel full size with barrels and slides in 9mm and 40 sw. They take the same mag and have not been a problem in either cal. They utilize a double stack on the mags I got, 16 9mms and 12 40,s. Have yet to have a jam in either caliber after 100,s of rds. Got match sights...

Best cap and ball revolver for a beginner?

these remmingtons, are they the brass frame or the steel frames at Cabelas? I already own 3 Piettas but whats one more. I,d prefer the shorter barrel as I already have a 7.5 and a 12 inch. Probably going to convert 45 long clt and use as saddle gun.

Best cap and ball revolver for a beginner?

I agree with all the above posts that the 58 remmington is best for the beginner. I would also suggest a 44 cal as pyrodex does make pellets in 30 grain for this caliber. It would make for easier loading for a beginner. I would also get a extra cylinder and get everything in stainless for...

if you had to go in combat

as a a ex grunt , all I can say to those guys that think that the M-14 and M-1 would be their weapons of choice, apparently they haven't had to hump those heavy weapons and ammo. The M-16/ M-4 are a good weapon. Although not as lethal as the 7.62 nato they have distinctive advantages. The...
