The reason I say that is that the people who have been critical of the department have been persecuted by the department. We have a new chief as of last week, so hopefully things will get better. Also four of the worst went to prison last year, so HOPEFULLY things will get better.
Both the ranges I have been to do not allow any loaded weapons when entering, CCW or no. Neither have range officers. I have a lead on a few good ranges from people on this board, so hopefully I will be checking them out in the coming weeks.
Thanks for all the replies. I went to the range yesterday and tried out the advice I received here. I went at 15 yds. with the Taurus 9mm. I was able to hit the paper with all the shots, but I was not very accurate. Also my arms got tired very fast trying to hold the gun properly.

My understanding is that the Solicitor General wants to remand the case to a lower court to make the verdict more nuanced so that it would NOT apply per se to a broad reading of RKBA. This would NOT be favorable in the eyes of those of us who believe in the individual right.
