    Hog Rifle

Lots of good choices really but like others have mention, gets good optics since you'll be hunting them mainly at night. But my main hog gun is an ar-15 in 6.8.

    Pig gun: 30-06 or .375 H&H?

Both will get the job done. Shot many with a 30-06 but my favorite is .270 (:

Best choice for a lever action.

Out of those, probably the .44 but with Leverevolution bullets. Why not the 30-30?

    First bolt-action. Stevens 110E .30-06

I have the exact same rifle in 30-06 as well. I don't know the history of it too much but it's a shooter! Mine is wood stock and it's heavy - gets tiring when you walk around the woods with it but it's put down lots of hogs. Enjoy the new rifle!

    Lever Gun.... .357 or .44 ?

I've shot hogs with a suppressed 44 mag, it did okay, but probably better without the suppressor. I would say just stick with your 30-30 for deer, hogs, and even black bear. But if I were to choose, I would get a .357. It might be a little light on big hogs but it could work with the right...

    Best scope specs for 30-30

I put a Bushnell 4200 3 - 9 on mine. Got the scope from overstock at a pretty decent price. I thought it would look funny but it turned out pretty good. I decided on the 40mm since I hunt hogs in low light. - Custom steel rail from EGW - Leupold low QRW - Bushnell 4200 3-9 Wish I had pics ...

    Bushnell Elite 3200 vs 4200

I have both the 3200 and 4200. The 4200 is clearer and brighter during the day (not by much but noticeable). Where I've seen a big difference was when I used the 4200 with a red light for hunting hogs at night, it's a lot clearer than the 3200. I you have the funds for a 4200, I would say go...

    Help me out Hog Hunters.

I agree with hunting them over BAITED areas. Unless you have a lot of time, your chances of seeing one without baiting is slim. But this also depends on the area and if they have experienced any hunting pressure. If you want action packed, give hog with dogs a try. My last hunt I went to a...
