    Duty Holster for Large-Frame Revolver?

Can anyone suggest a good duty holster for a large frame revolver? I'm a big fan of Safariland but they don't make anything that fits an N-frame. Level II or III would be fantastic, but Level I is okay if it's a good quality holster. Thanks in advance!

Republicans Win, now how do we....

I see that the Republicans have the Senate by a much larger majority now... what are the odds that pro-gun bills will pass the Senate?

Republicans Win, now how do we....

Good question... what should be the first three things on the new agenda. A national CCW would be nice but will never happen. Anything we can think of specifically?

Instructions for filling out FFL application

Does anyone have any specific instructions or tips on how to fill out the Type 01 FFL license application? Obviously I can answer the questions generally, but can anyone give me tips or pointers on exactly what they are looking for with some of these questions so I can make sure I meet the...

    Question for PA FFL holders

I was reading the PA Code and found the following: § 6113. Licensing of dealers. (a) General rule.--The chief or head of any police force or police department of a city, and, elsewhere, the sheriff of the county, shall grant to reputable applicants licenses, in form prescribed by the...

Waiting periods, etc in different States

Hello, all. In an attempt to consider places where I would and wouldn't want to move to, I (of course) want to consider firearms and political climate when deciding. So I went to packing.org and checked out the states that do and do not "shall-issue" permits. But that got me thinking...

    ACE Hardware sells guns?

Ahhh... if only the Pep Boys around here still sold such things. Now you can't even find the right oil filter let alone a firearm.

    Moonclip 101: Experienced Feedback Please

I've found that popping out cases is very easily accomplished with the head of a screwdriver. Seating cases into the clips works very well with using a pair of pliers. I can't imagine that those expensive tools work much better. Steve

    Moonclip 101: Experienced Feedback Please

I did it to my 686+ as a competition modification for ease of reloading. Moonclips are faster and cheaper than speedloaders. Steve

    T/C Omega .50 cal

Did they give you a reason for blued over stainless? Was it just money? The blued should be fine as long as you're careful about rust. Personally, I like to spend the extra few bucks and get something that is more corrosion resistant. Steve

    Moonclip 101: Experienced Feedback Please

It actually can be done. I've done it myself -- but my father's a machinist and owns a lathe. If you don't, you can have your cylinder sent out to a few places to have it machined to accept moonclips for around $100... plus they will still work with speedloaders and loaded one by one by hand...

    Moonclip 101: Experienced Feedback Please

.38sp/.357mag clips are totally touchy with brass types... Winchester is just a flat out no-go for me. Steve

Revolvers with more than 6 shots ... ?

I have a 686+, 6", (7 shot) and think it's great. It makes a good hunting revolver, can be used for steel, pin, and ICORE matches... and is just a lot of fun regardless of if I'm shooting mouse fart loads or full power loads. I love my wheelguns and think that while 6 might be...

    Value of a 686+ 6"

I don't even know if you'll get that much when you trade it in. Dealers tend to not give much at all, in my experience, when you're trying to sell used guns. They know that it's a pain to find someone to purchase a used firearm and then there is always the paperwork and such... so they try to...

Barrel Length and accuracy/power in Ruger Handguns

You're not going to be under-powered with the .44mag when talking about Whitetail-sized game and down. Before actually going with the .454, you might want to shoot one in a shorter length barrel... it's quite a punch on BOTH ends of the gun. That also is a good thing to consider when looking...
