    a range story

Bad range experience If my first experience had been like that I don't know that I would ever have wanted to go back. That is definately sad. My husband was very patient with me on our first trip! I was deathly afraid of guns and anti up until that point. My shots were all over the place...

Crazy to carry in your own house?

I carry around my house Especially when my husband is at work I will holster and carry my gun around the house. I keep my doors locked, but I just feel more secure with it on me. Also if it is on my person than the kids aren't in the other room trying to get it out of the safe (which they...

    Goodies for Father's day?

Fathers Day Goodies I got my dad the new Dean Koontz book = "The Taking", and my brother and I took him to dinner and a movie. What I gave my husband was the opportunity to spend the day with his kids so that I could have a great day with my dad.

Shooters!... Wear Eye protection... My Lesson learned the HARD way!

Protective Eye Wear I tend to just wear my corrective lenses as does my husband. My six year old has her own pair of shooting glasses, because the ones at the range are all too big for her head, besides it makes her feel special to own her own pair :)

Do you take off your rings when shooting?

Rings I wear my wedding band, engagement ring and the ring that my husband got me for valentine's day one year and have never had any problems shooting with them. Besides I am afraid if I take them off I will lose them.

    Do you ever do this?

I have a hard time deciding. When we get extra money whether to get a new tattoo or a new gun... both are very tempting... I usually go with if I have more tattoos than guns I get a new gun, and vice versa.

Anyone shoot/own guns but not hunt?

Hunting and Guns We own guns, but don't hunt. My DH used to hunt when he was a child, but here in Florida the deer are so small it would feel like killing Bambi. I personally can't see myself killing a defensless animal though.

    Anti-gun spouses from Heck.

Anti-gun Spouse I used to be a very anti-gun spouse. I did not go to extremes like mentioned in the above post, but I would never let my husband keep guns in the house. That is until some strange man decided to follow my 6 year old home from the school bus stop. (the police and school did...

    How young is too young?

I have 4 children and the oldest is 6. She has shown interest in learning about guns. So my father and my husband took her to the range to rent a .22 to learn to shoot. She knows all of the safety rules, can quote them off the top of her head. She knows not to touch a gun to get an adult...

    Ruger P90 .45 acp????

I love my P90, and have never had an problems, unless you want to count having to share with hubby when he wants to shoot it. It is a great gun and good accuracy. It was the first .45 that I shot after shooting 9mm and I went from all over the target to having a very nice little grouping. I...

    New Here

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to the board. Actually saw my husband on, and started looking myself. I am the mother of 4 young children 6, 3, and 21 month old twins. I haven't been shooting long maybe a year. Never like guns, until an incident with my 5 year old changed my...
