    Why bother reloading 380acp?

Personally, I reload all my 380. I believe discussions about difficulty due to its small size are over-rated. Remember, it is nothing more than 9mm "short". If you reload 9mm, 380 is no different, at least for me.

    22LR insert for flare pistol

I have had a 26.5mm HK flare pistol for years with few uses and then I stumbled onto a special insert for shooting 22LR out of it. I just tested it out today and it works fantastic. No signs of stress after shooting 100 rounds out of it either. Some guy on YouTube created his own insert...

Light Small Game Loads For 30-06

dmazur - I just contacted Brian Hammond about his Hammond Game Getter. Along with many of the other ideas presented here, this also sounds like an easy solution without having to cast or reload. I will try some of the reloads presented, but I am also going to get one of these little gadgets...

Light Small Game Loads For 30-06

Galil, I might try this. I've already got lots of Unique sitting around. I'll bet Lee has some inexpensive molds for just what you are suggesting. Thanks.

Light Small Game Loads For 30-06

RCModel, Interesting article and I've got the casting setup. But I didn't think about having to re-zero the scope...duh...so on second thought sounds like the idea of flexibility might be a bit more trouble than it is worth. I figured someone out there had already thought this through. It's...

Light Small Game Loads For 30-06

I like to take only my 30-06 when I visit my buddy. Rather than haul my 22LR for smaller game, I was wondering if anyone has come up with some unique loads that are somewhat lighter for taking small game like rabbits, squirrels, grouse, etc. Seems like I read an article some time back about...

Best Ammo For .45 Caliber Sam Yang 909S Big Bore Airgun

Butcher - What kind of lead are you using for your cast bullets in your airguns? I have been reading that I should use pure lead, however, I have enough wheel weights sitting around that I would prefer to use them. I am unsure what BHN I should be using with my new Sam Yang 909S. Any...

Best Ammo For .45 Caliber Sam Yang 909S Big Bore Airgun

Butcher, Wow, you really are full of a bunch of info. Really appreciate it. I was reluctant to look at .457 as some of PyramydAirs advertisements on their web site say the .457 "are not for the sam yang 909". However, I have been reading at numerous places on the web, that .457 is the best...

Best Ammo For .45 Caliber Sam Yang 909S Big Bore Airgun

Recently purchased a Korean big bore airgun known as the Sam Yang 909S. It is .45 caliber with about a velocity of 730 fps (approx 200 fpe). I have been reading a variety of things about the best lead projectiles (bullets) to use. I have been reading about .452, .454, .457 roundballs, as...

    Hunting with Air Guns

My Hammerli X2 is an outstanding small pest hunting rifle. It comes with interchangeable barrels .22 and .177. I have clocked the .177 at about 1100 fps and the .22 at 920 fps. In fact, the .177 sometimes exceeds the sound barrier and makes a crack like a .22LR making my neighbor believe I...

Why are liberals against the second amendment?

I think the answer to the question is simple. I believe the liberal hatred of guns stems from a belief that they can successfully micro-manage human behavior. I think this can be seen in all aspects of liberal legislation and is not limited to firearms. For the record, I am a Conservative...

    Wow! SKS prices are crazy!

I had been looking at getting an SKS, but with all the fearmongering I think I'll pass. I think Limeyfellow is right. While the current administration would probably like to reinstitute an assault weapons ban - my guess is that they have enough on their plate at the moment - hopefully things...

    Smallest caliber you will carry

You forgot .380 (9mm Kurz/Short). Along with .38 Sp, is probably recognized by most professionals as the smallest caliber that one should use for defensive purposes.

    Smallest caliber you will carry

Usually I carry my Kel-tec P11 (9mm), but in a pinch I always have my North American Arms mini revolver which is .22 LR. It unnoticeably fits in my front pocket and is smaller than my wallet.

    Black powder is a felony

Be careful on this one. I think it is important to remember who your friends are. Those "right wingers" are the only ones in Washington who will defend "our" second amendment rights. While the current admin is far from perfect, the alternative (no names mentioned, but you all know who we are...

    Legalities of selling custom loads

Yep. Sounds like it is waaaaaaaay too much trouble. I guess I won't be launching "Good Ole Boy" ammunition after all. I swear, these things make me more of a Libertarian every day with our "nanny" state lookin out for everyone's best interest.:D

    Legalities of selling custom loads

I have a number of loads that I have worked up for various calibers that seem to have become fairly popular with some of my buddies at the range. I was curious, does anyone know how difficult it is to sell custom loads? I am particularly interested in the legal ramifications. I know there...

anyone tried making fulminate of mercury for caps?

I actually have thought about designing an electrical ignition system for some of my BP guns. When I was younger, I built a small cannon using an electrical ignition. We rigged up some wire to a battery and embedded them in some steel wool at the bottom of a small charge of blackpowder...

Reloading with steel cases (45 ACP)

I don't know about you guys, but I can sure tell my budget is pinched these days between paying more for gas and paying more for ammo. Anything to stretch my dollar is a welcome addition, provided it doesn't risk my health.
