    Henry Single Shot Break Action?

i honestly thought the MSRP was good for what it is (the rifle versions).

    Henry Single Shot Break Action?

i dont think that the 45-70 is that bad. Henry rifles usually have pretty good triggers. Their fit and finish is also nice. H&R rifles, well their single shot shotgun that i looked at and almost bought, did not have the greatest of triggers. I wont buy a marlin right now. I am not sure i...

    Ruger SP101 8-Shot 22lr

my only reservation is that the revolver only has fiber optic sights for the front. i would have preferred both front and rear such as found on the Single-Ten it is nice to see another "Kit Gun" on the market, S&W had pretty much cornered it.

    Lets talk about ARs

Zerodefect, that was exactly what i was going to do.. didnt know there was a name for it though.

    Lets talk about ARs

i am getting an upper with the longest bull barrel i can find, putting a gas block near the muzzle and installing a a front sight there so i can have a really long sight picture.. EXTREME iron sight shooting!! see, you can do just about anything you want with them... (oh and my lower isnt...

    Lets talk about ARs

i shoot a JP rifle, they make competition guns but i got their "tactical" model... most accurate semi-auto i ever shot (4 shots in under 1/2 inch @ 105 yards) i think the tactical and competition rifles have similar components but they are stripped down of all the gadgetry to be low drag...

Ruger 1911 Photo leaked ad for shooting times

i was skeptical at first but i know its true now. guess Ruger is gonna make a 1911........ count me in. and if they do put a mag safety in it, it will most likely be easily removed...

Ruger 1911 Photo leaked ad for shooting times

there has been so many rumors about a Ruger 1911 over the years and they didnt make any announcements at shotshow, the NRA show, nor on 1911's birthday... it just does not add up that they woudlnt release it on any of those days and wait till later to do so... i call BS

AR-15: Best Models - need advice

the best: JP Enterprise, Noveske, Knight Armament THEE Top three they are more like luxury ARs.... all are outstanding performers.. of these three, JP (i own) and Knight are the only two i would spend money on if i wanted a Cadillac AR for a Chevy AR, i would get an Armalite, Rock...

AR-15: Best Models - need advice

seriously avoid Vulcan i think Olympic is bad, as i said earlier, but Helotaxi does not seem to agree, maybe he would agree that Vulcan is surely one to avoid. i am talking about the big AR manufactures, not the smaller outfits

    AR build thoughts

Gunsby's advice. hmm general recommendations: i would go with an 18 inch barrel rather than 16 to get just a tad but more velocity. go with a midlength gas system rather than a carbine because it is not as hard on your bolt and buffer, it runs softer on the gun and prolongs its life i would...

AR-15: Best Models - need advice

i would go with LMT, Daniel Defense, Noveske, and (my favorite) JP Enterprises. Armalite are good, Colts have the Colt name, Ruger's AR has a carrier tilt problem (i am usually a ruger fan, especially on SA revolvers), i have had problems with poor machining on parts with Rock River. the top...

    Ruger is at it again....

they are going to have to go with 8 or more shots in a .357 Smith already has 8 shot revolvers.... but those Smiths are in the 1,000+ price bracket, not the 550-600 range as the GB revolvers i suspect a Ruger with a 8 shot capacity might be in the 650-700 dollar range... maybe i would...

    Ruger is at it again....

you mean the LCP (P=Pistol) loses to Kel Tec... right? the Kel Tec was out first. the Bodyguard vs LCR (R=Revolver) is a good comparison except for that laser on the top that is actually kind of flawed my my opinion because of its means of operation (having to cycle through and push a...

yet another "help me choose" RUGER SA

yeah, i am leaning towards the Bisley i passed up on one a year ago and have been kicking myself becuase of it. (that one was stainless in a 5 1/2 in. barrel, i liked it a lot better too) but... i suppose a regular Bisley in .357 would be good too ;) i was about to get the .45LC but i...

yet another "help me choose" RUGER SA

Well I was looking at buying myself a Christmas Present… now that I have got some Christmas money… I haven’t bought a new gun in over a year and the itch is getting to me something crazy… At first I was looking at a USFA Rodeo in .38 but no one seems to have them in stock and having one...

    Mini 14GB or AR

well, i bought a mini for my .223.... i LOVE it... but decided i wanted something that is really accurate too, as in sub MOA... so i am building my own AR now (its not comparable to stock AR rifles because i am going to have around 3 grand in it when i am done) so i say buy a Mini, i think the...

Review: Magpul MS2 Sling on AR15

thanks again for your endorsement of the Magpul sling, i think i am going to look into that one some more. although i have that Magpul UBR stock that seems to limit the overall functionality of it, i think it will still work pretty good.

    Trijicon ACOG TA44SG-10?

i have been thinking about that 1.5x acog too. the thing is, a 3x ta33 (i think thats the right model number) costs about the same. now the benefit of that 1.5 acog is that it is supposed to have an off the charts field of view and the slight boost in magnification allows you some slight...
