1911 RIA Slide Problems I can agree with you all but still do not under stand WHY, when I have been shooting this 45 that it just comes up all of a sudden starting to lock up and not go into battery with ammo still in the magizine, may be I am dense... Fred

I have a 1911 45 acp Rock Island Army. worked fine and shot good groups when I bought it. It has started now to lock the slide back when fireing. ie Fire two rounds and still five in magizine. have to push the slide lock lever to drop the slide to continue fireing. I might get off one or two...

Walkalong I was look to see what others were loading for the Precision Bullets ( BLACK BULLET)? I look in the Lee Book and looked up lead loads, (BUT) Precission says you can load up to 2000fps????

I got mine when it first came out. I use it 3 time a week 150 rds on week ends and practice two time a week with 100 - 200 rds, reload with v-n302 4.1 gr under 124gr Berrys HP. Shoot well had a lot of ammo through it over the years, carry it 24/7 every day. S & W 5906 TSW:):)

Salty, the mdl 41 from looking at other sites apears to be the choicee, but Rugers either mare II or Mark III are said to be good also except for they need a triger job to shoot better.

It looks nice, I am a Right hand shooter, old and a shakey hand, will be getting a ultradot red dot scope to mount on the pistol I get.

I have been asked to get into BullysEye shooting, and need a 22 pistol for that. Looking for any suggestions. I have heard that the Smith & Wesson 41, and Ruger are a good choice, Thanks, Fred
