    New spyderco Delica.... disappointed

Can you post a picture of your Opinel knife? I googled the name and discovered there are quite a few variants! Previously unknown brand/make to me. Sorry your first experience with Spyderco was unsatisfactory. I love their knives and highly recommend them.

    ULTIMATE 9MM carry gun?

Man, that is a beautiful pistol. Drool cup is getting full here! Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

If you could only have three guns...

This thread has been a goodie. I know I posted a response over a year ago, but my thoughts now are: 1) Marlin 1894C. Out to 100 yards, .357 from this rifle is a potent round. Ammunition is likely always going to be readily available. The rifle is just so handy, points well, and even with my...

If you could only have three guns...

Dave, swap the Mossy for a REM 870 and I have that setup. I agree that it is a sound investment!

    smith&wesson j frame

I have the no-lock 642 and am considering adding an XS sight. Somewhat fun to shoot. I do enjoy shooting other pistols more. Consider a pocket holster if you do think about slipping it onto a pocket for a quick trip out. Bob Mika makes a nice one. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

Need an accurate and moderately powerful air pistol

Many great responses and the indoor trap idea is fantastic, too. But, my decision may surprise you! Low tech. I got a sling shot. While at the local Gander Mountain looking at some of the options described here, I spied the simple $15 solution.

Need an accurate and moderately powerful air pistol

I think you are on to something here! I might end up being able to use current holsters! That would be awesome. I will check these out. Thanks for this great tip!

Need an accurate and moderately powerful air pistol

Wow. Now that is a serious air gun! :what: I am actually looking for something to scare the dogs into staying off my property or keeping a good distance from me if I am out walking my dogs. What do you think of this? http://www.beeman.com/p3.htm

Need an accurate and moderately powerful air pistol

I have some good pepper spray. 2 problems. Distance and wind. I do not want the encroaching dogs that close before repelling them. If it is windy or rainy, the spray is iffy. Firecrackers would work well! Had not thought of that. But, not good if I am walking my dogs. Discovered a Beeman...

Need an accurate and moderately powerful air pistol

Guys, I am jumping in here because I have a similar need, but maybe a bit stronger punch required. I need something to repel dogs in a pack. I live in the country and using lethal force would be tolerated, but some of the dogs are owned by my neighbors. I need to convince the dogs to stay off...

Moving to Kentucky (Kentucky Residents Please Chime In)

And the western part of KY is the forgotten part of Kentucky! In lots of ways I like that. We live within spitting distance of IL, TN, and MO. Good trails to ride in each state. Lots of outdoor activities. People know their neighbors. I work in Paducah for a large, national company. Our little...

Moving to Kentucky (Kentucky Residents Please Chime In)

Haha! I refer to the state of our dear new president, Illinois. Edited to add - I live in far western KY, just across the Ohio River from Illinois on I-24.

Moving to Kentucky (Kentucky Residents Please Chime In)

This fine show of Kentucky hospitality is contagious. Thought I better chime in.We moved to Kentucky in November of 1990 from the Stalinist state just to the north. I fell in love with the state immediately and haven't looked back. Then, 13 years ago we moved out into the county and got some...

Which gun of the 2 to keep?

Okay, I see your point. Well, my answer probably isn't going to make things any easier for you! Like you, I have more guns than time to shoot. I've come to the point where when I do make another purchase it will be for one reason only: to obtain something of really high quality. My advice...

Which gun of the 2 to keep?

It's really none of my business, but since you are asking for opinions, I'll ask you this: what has caught your attention so strongly that you'd consider selling either of these pistols?

    Used Kahr K9

Thanks again for the tip on AuctionArms.com. Hard to believe, but I didn't have that site bookmarked. Was this your first purchase through them? Did everything go smoothly? After touring the site a bit and registering, I'm interested to hear your thoughts on making a purchase there!

Thank-you and, once again, congratulations! Enjoy your new Kahr. It would be really great if you'd come back and publish a range report once your pistol arrives.

    My favourite gun...

I like your method! I couldn't agree more. I, too, have a lever-action .357 and I love it. Then, there's the Garand. <ping> Need I say more? Got to love the 10/22 and its brother, the Mark II. But, let's not forsake the classic wheelgun, S&W mod 586. And, what home would be complete without...

    Used Kahr K9

You lucky dog! riverwinoIA - did you find your K9 from a friend, at a show or on the net? Just curious, as I have passively been looking for the same for a while. No hurry, but just curious as to how your dream finally came true.

Little Bird... advice on gettin' her SHARP?

hso - Yes, I have the Spyderco Tri-Angle Sharpener. I tried using it on the Little Bird, but the angles are all wrong. Justin at Ranger Knives made me a great offer. I'm going to let him put a thinner edge on it, then I plan to use the Spyderco to get/keep it sharp. Right now it is really...
