I had an odd CDNN experience - they would not provide me with a list of FFL holders from my state they had on file.
I have had great luck when buying spare magaziness, etc.
A person armed with a .40 and good ammo is packing a fine self-defense pistol. However, I don't think it leaves the 9mm or .45 in the dust. Given the 9 is easier to control and cheaper, I think it the best defense round for me.
I'm hooked on the idea of a short, handy bolt rifle chambered for a low-recoiling cartridge -something like the .243 or 7mm-08. Suggestions? Other caliber ideas? Thanks.
The custom holster business has a few name makers that have fallen WAY behind. I've been ripped off by two of them. I will not name them.
It seems they become inundated with orders once the word gets out. One of my favorites was written up in a national gunzine and I fear I'll never be...
Never put anything on a custom, molded holster that could soften the leather. Every maker I know of suggests SMALL amounts of shoe polish to cover scratches, etc. Coating the whole rig is unnecessary.
