I'll come right off with it, I'm from Minnesota and I have lived here my entire life - I'm very tired of it. The winter is too long, it snowed last night, it's nearly May and it snowed. Our taxes are high as it is a blue state. Our gun laws aren't really all that bad, we can open or conceal and...
I'm not all that skeptical about it, I'm not going to call everyone that can shoot better than I a liar. Sure, we see a lot of stuff that makes us wonder but unless the name of the poster is Gecko45 I'm not going to make a big deal about it; I'll just be big enough to admit there are others out...
Ruger reported the first quarter 2008 on Tuesday, after reading the report it was quite eveident they're having problems with backlogged orders. This is a good and bad problem. I think in the long run everything will be fine; as stated, Ruger's customer service is one of the best in the...
That nickel is for sure not original, I can see all the sanding and the rust pitting that's being covered up by it. Yes, it was a Mauser manufactured in 1943 and it has the Nazi armor acceptance stamp.
If I were to value it I'd expect to see it at a retail price around $200-300. Sorry to...
I use a Bianchi leather IWB that's actually supposed to fit the Glock 17/22. It fits the CZ-75 like a glove and I can't tell I'm wearing it and the thing disappears. Oddly enough, the same holster won't fit my Glock 17.
The Romanian WASRs are supposed to have two pieces of sheet metal tack welded into the sides of the receiver where there would normally be a dimple on other manufacturers. If yours is missing these I suggest going to smith and having some welded in or you could make them and rivet them in yourself.
I don't own a Savage, Remington or a Ruger. Like I said in one of my first posts, Remington was the lesser or two evils. 'We determined that' was from all the other more experienced people talking about Savage's lack of lapping and wide barrel tolerances.
If you think the Savage is a high...
This thread's getting heated! I wonder what Gecko45 would trust for an out of the box tactically concealed carry weapon? And would it just have to cycle standard hollow points or Extreme Shocks?
I don't mean to be mean, but if you believe this it's obvious you don't have any experience with quality rifles and most likely don't know the difference. Savage's marketing has worked wonders for them, that's great - it certainly doesn't mean they have the quality that novices believe.
The...
The first MKII I bought was used, it jammed just like you described - I had to adjust the ejector pin to the right (towards the port) so it was nearly touching the bolt. It never jammed again.
