    Revolvers .357 Magnum

ericuda You are so right about that, when I was shooting the Security Six with the old Factory wood grips it would get old fairly quick but after I changed them out for some Hogue Rubber Mono Grips it made a world of difference. The Factory wood grips on my GP100 Talo Edition are very...

    Revolvers .357 Magnum

Lots of great 357's listed here, I have several but these are two of my favorites, you might go to a Range that has firearms rentals and try some of them out.

    Looking for a new 357

I have Smiths, Colts and Rugers, all are great guns. If I had to go with one gun from now on I believe it would be the GP100. Steve..........

    10mm coming back in style?

I usually run 180 gr cast or jacketed bullets, most loads are with Accurate #9 or Power Pistol running between 1100 and 1200 fps, I haven't had any problems with brass in the Ruger. I had some really hot loads in the DE that did show some bulges (but not in the Ruger 10mm) so that was marked as...

    10mm coming back in style?

I will say my Ruger 10 mm has a 'supported chamber', (fully supported ?) with an integral ramp while my Delta Elite has a 'regular 1911 style' chamber. I believe the Ruger 10mm 1911 uses a Wilson/Nowlin ramp style barrel but I could be wrong. Steve..........

    10mm coming back in style?

I have had a Delta Elite for many years and picked up a Ruger 10mm 1911 shortly after they came out. Shooting them side by side the Ruger seems easier to shoot and is more accurate by far. A difference in recoil springs and the Ruger having a heavy barrel might be some of the reasons it 'seems'...

    Colt Frame welded?

    Tikka t3x lite stainless

I bought a left handed Stainless T3 Lite in 7-08 for my Wife to Deer hunt with and it never got any farther than the range with it as it kicked too much according to her. It had more recoil in my judgement but wasn't bad. It was superbly accurate. Most people say Hornady Black is very accurate...

    Romainian pioneer .177

I bought one several years ago for either $14.00 or $17.00, can't remember where I bought it at. I think I got it when I placed an order for some rifles from a Wholesaler. Or it could have been Sportsmans Guide. Man it sucks getting old, prostate cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, reflux...

    Aftermarket Glock magazines

I have about half a dozen KCI G17 mags and the same amount of KCI G19 and haven't had any problems out of them and they have been shot extensively over the last few years by myself and two others in my three Glocks and G17 and G19 style Poly 80's. I have two of the KCI 33 rounders that I use in...

    38+p in a S&W 10

    Ideas for a custom Mauser

6.5 x 55 is always a nice classic to do. I have done about 5 on the K Kale action and 2 on a regular 98 surplus action with no problems on any of them except I had to massage the feed rails on one 98 action for smooth feeding. Archie mentioned the 7x57 and that is also another classic chambering...

    Coonan Classic 357

I had one back in the mid 90's and loved it and for some reason that I can't figure out I traded it off a few years after that. Probably my most regrettable trade. Steve..........

    Kahr Arms?

I have a CW9, a CW45 and had a CT9, bought it new cheap and sold it before I ever had a chance to shoot it. I like the CW9 and carried it for a while and it ate everything I put in it. I then got a CW45 (my favorite) and carried it for six or so years, it was very accurate but had a tight...

    357 maximum vs 350 legend

My vote is for the 357 Maxi, I have had one for many many years. I have an Encore pistol barrel, Encore rifle barrel, Savage 24V, Henry Single Shot rifle all in the Maxi. I like AR's a lot, I have about twelve in various calibers and wouldn't be above building another if a killer deal on a...

    Benjamin Regal NP 22

I have a .22 Titan GP and really like it, it is very accurate especially after I put in the trigger from Charlie, I think mine is the GRTIII, it's gold and serrated on the front. It's one of the most accurate air rifles I have ever owned until I got my Gamo Urban, now that thing has taken...

Thinking of getting a Hi Point .45

I would look at some of the LE trade ins, you can sometimes find them under $300.00 (then change to a threaded barrel). My neighbor had a new 45 acp High Point and after about 400 rounds the 'cartridge pickup' on the slide started to be bradded over and the part that was displaced started to...

    Remington R1 1911: should i get it?

I have one of the R-1's and absolutely love it. It is the most accurate 1911 I have (I have 4). Fit and finish are top notch with no play in the slide/frame fit. I did put a Commander style hammer and a beavertail style grip safety on it. I called the Factory and they hinted that it would soon...
