Tell me about my Vaquero .45LC/.45ACP

I traded for a Vaquero high polish stainless with dual cylinders, .45LC and .45ACP. It came in a plastic box with "Special Edition" molded in the lid. I can't find it in the Blue Book, and have never seen another like it. Can anyone tell me about this pistol?

How much should I pay for WW's?

somebody just gave me an ammo can not quite full of birdshot. It weighs 75 pounds. I think a 5 gallon bucket would weigh well over 200 pounds.

    harrington & son revolver

I think you mean "Harrington and Richardson". These are pretty cheap guns, and in the old days sold for a couple of bucks or so. I wouldn't put any money into fixing it up, but if you want to try, Numrich may have your parts: http://www.e-gunparts.com/

My experiences with my new Walther P22

I sympathize with all the above comments, as I have experienced most of them myself. However, the basic problem is that a rimmed cartridge can never operate as reliably as a rimless. A good quality .25 or .32 auto is virtually free of malfunctions with factory ammo. .22 pistols will always...

    Bersa .380 longevity, how long?

Maybe my memory is off, but it seems to me that I read that U.S government specs for service pistols specify a minimum useful life of only 5000 rounds. I use this as my guide for all my pistols, all of which are from supposedly high quality manufacturers, and I normally retire and/or dispose of...

What's the history of the hy-hunter single shot?

Hy Hunter History Hy Hunter imported a lot of cheap .22 pistols back in the late fifties and early sixties. The Stevens Favorite was a popular one, and was a pretty reliable pistol, even though it was made mostly of pot metal and the barrel had a steel rifled liner. I had one in mint...

Show me your 25 pocket pistols!

My two cents I must own about fifty .25 autos, plus a bunch of tiny pistols in .22LR, .22 Long, and .22 short. I have never had a malfunction in any of my .25 pistols, but the .22s hang up frequently. Of course, all my pistols are from quality manufacturers, none of the Spanish or South...

Saw a strange Beretta 950 Jetfire today...

Beretta 950 Just bought one of these NIB, but made in Italy. The Italian ones are also marked "6.35" and are more desireable collectorwise, so cost somewhat more. I don't know much about the Brazilian ones, but they may be OK as shooters. Seems to me they were also made in the USA after the...
