Safely racking and locking back the slide on a Glock

The cool thing about a Beretta 92, a Walther PPK, or any gun with a slide mounted safety is that you can plant your thumb right on that safety, and it's a great leverage point for racking the slide. In any case, I suggest you purchase yourself some hand strengtheners...

    Sig 228 firing pin

What did Sig do to try to fix it? Is it only in double action mode? Why is it guns with light primer strikes problems seem to have rebounding hammers?

Attention all CZ P01/PCR/Compact owners check your grips!

P-01s are not aluminum framed. They're steel alloy.

Light Primer Strikes and Other Issues with S&W Walther PPK

Look just above the cartridge in the photo. The loaded chamber indicator is the pin sticking out. It is blocking the cartridge.

Attention all CZ P01/PCR/Compact owners check your grips!

It's purely cosmetic, but only if you are using certain non-factory grips. I don't see reason to be alarmed.

Light Primer Strikes and Other Issues with S&W Walther PPK

After shooting it, I sprayed the firing pin channel down pretty good with degreaser. After doing this, the firing pin launched a pencil much more consistently.

Light Primer Strikes and Other Issues with S&W Walther PPK

Hello. I bought a new PPK .380. I'm at the range for the first time, I slingshot one in the chamber, take the safety off, pull the trigger, and "click." I look at the round and there is a pretty significant indentation in the primer. I loaded the round again, pulled the trigger, and...

What is the best round for up to 800 yd shooting?

.308 doesn't have the best ballistics but it is pretty much the standard. You will practice more with it than you will with more expensive calibers. Fairly light recoil too.

Ruger Mk I Mainspring Housing Stuck

So I was trying to put this Ruger Mk I pistol back together. As I was trying to get the hammer strut to engage with the mainspring housing I somehow managed to cock the pistol. Now the housing is jammed and protruding slightly. This same thing happened about two weeks ago and I took it to the...

    BAR Yes or No

They're not very exciting, but they are reliable, accurate, and work well enough for hunting (which is obviously what they're intended for). I prefer the controls and detachable magazines of my M1As though, so I use an M1A instead. The BAR feels heavier than it is. I don't know why that...

Colt M4 6920 vs. DSA FAL Para

Buy an M1A. 7.62x51mm is a great round for civilians, so that eliminates the AR. The M1A is just as reliable, if not moreso than the FAL, and is more of a rifleman's rifle.
