I just got my jack slide from galco today. This is probably the most concealable rig I've tried for my 1911. The belt running outside the holster tucks in tight. Drawing is quick but re-holstering is a bit of a pain because it does collapse a little when the weapon is drawn.
Obama is going to assume office as the commander in chief of a country just shy of collapse. I doubt he'll concern himself with gun control immediately.
I think I acknowledged the fact I was reviving an old thread. If I had started a new one, would you have used a multi-syllable word describing how one should search first? I did search BTW. What would the word be anyway. I'm a member of another forum and I want to look cool by using it. I have...
I have a marlin "golden" 39a. It was their anniversary edition which features a "gold" trigger. My grandfather bought it at Service Merchandise (anybody remember them) a long time ago.
I just bought 1000 rounds of Blazer Brass 9mm ammo at walmart for 8.57/box of 50. This is the best deal on ammo you'll get anywhere. I'm going to pick up 500 rounds of .45 tomorrow at 13.97/box of 50. This beats any bulk order I can find anywhere. This isn't the old steel cased crud either.
I voted both. If my job didn't prohibit the carrying of firearms, I'd be toting a 1911, but since they do, a S&W 642 will have to do (is this illiteration?) 8 hours out of the day.
I carry a 642 S&W. I pondered this same question a while back. The only issue I've had was rust on the grip screw. I solved this with fingernail polish. It's kinda puny but it will fire every time. I carry it at work only in a desantis pocket holster.
That's what I figured. How does LE determine if a lower is compatible with an upper - god forbid another AWB? Is this something they actively look for?
I know I am reviving a VERY old thread but I was wondering if this still applied since currently there is no AWB. I have a colt from 2000 I'd like to modify.
