    Glock Converts... explain!

My Glock 29 is purely a tool. It will not fail me if I need it, and I don't care if it gets messed up in the process. None of my other firearms are that way to me, I have a cow if they even get a scratch. Jeremy

    Styer Questions

My M40 has been problem free from day 1. I absolutely love it! I wouldn't know about holsters for it, since I wouldn't carry it, that honour goes to the G-29. Jeremy

10mm: Megastar now or 1006 later??

MegaStars are much harder to find, so I would get it first. The Mega should be just as durable as the 1006, but finding parts is a lot more difficult, when something does finally break. I would buy the Mega now, get a 1006 a bit later, and round it all off with a Glock 10mm to do most of...

What on earth could do this?!?

No. A HEAT warhead uses a shaped charge to explosively form, and then propel forward a conical metal liner. The liner is compressed down into a thin rod of metal that is certainly not a gas (almost molten, but not a gas). The rod pushes through armour as a near solid, it does not burn through...

What on earth could do this?!?

The seperation towards the end of its path (going from one hole into several holes in the gun breech guard) indicates it was a HEAT warhead. Most likely an RPG-7. The total depth of armour in that location is maybe 80mm-100mm, and it was just bad luck that the RPG hit a seam on the outer...

    Why don't WE use RPGs?

The term 'RPG' is actually a generic word. It means any Rocket Propelled Grenade. The first RPGs were the WW2 era Bazooka, Panzerfaust, and Panzerschreck. The RPG-7 is a fairly old design, with a lot of drawbacks, that make it less than suitable for a top-line military. The US army...

Army Reorganizes Plan To Field New Family Of Infantry Weapons

I don't know how well the XM-8 mags work with the 6.8mm. I guess they would have to at least have new followers installed to work right, so that adds a third thing to change when upgrading to 6.8mm. Jeremy

Army Reorganizes Plan To Field New Family Of Infantry Weapons

I guess the Army is moving this as a two stage project. Get the rifle first, and then convert to the new round when they can in the future. I think it would have been better to do both together, and it would have justified the new rifle more. The XM-8 is able to be converted to the 6.8x43 by...

    Watching Red Dawn...

The last picture shows a Hind-F. The D and E were basically the same, except the E had better night-fighting sensors. The first two pics are of a Hind-A. Variants from the D onwards all had the new cockpit, only the A had the bulky side-by-side cockpit. There are quite a few different...

    Whos getting a CZ40-P?

They are, it just hasn't made it all the way through to us yet. CZ did this to clear out 1500 already made slides, that they did not have frames for (CZ can thank Colt for welching on that deal). Jeremy

    Whos getting a CZ40-P?

Unfortunately, I don't think it will. CZ would have to restart the production line from scratch. Jeremy

What do you do when the pistol you just bought is a complete rip-off?

Have you removed the magazine safety? I took that out of my FEG after the first range trip, and the trigger is much smoother. Jeremy

    Whos getting a CZ40-P?

It's home!!!! I got it! So far I really like it, there is just a tad of trigger creep, like was already said. The slide to frame fit is very close, and smooth. The only missed detail in my opinion, is there is a small part of the frame rear (by the hammer) that could have been milled down to...

    Whos getting a CZ40-P?

The CZ40-P is a surplus CZ-40B slide (leftover from when Colt backed out of that deal), mated to a P-01 frame. CZ only had 1500 leftover CZ-40 slides, so there will only be that many CZ40-P produced. It is highly unlikely that CZ would restart the CZ-40 slide production. I have no idea...

What do you do when the pistol you just bought is a complete rip-off?

Wow, that is wild! Definently get that checked, because something ain't right! My FEG P9M-9HP can do a solid 6" hole at 7 yards (and I'm a crappy shooter), so the PJK should even be able to beat that (as the PJK is the true Browning clone) Jeremy
