Anybody else bothered by questions at register?

I've been asked the same thing at Walmart in NH a couple times. I believe federal law requires you to be 18 to purchase rifle ammo and 21 for pistol. https://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/licensees-conduct-of-business.html#age-requirements

    Glock 19 choked

Poor ejection is generally caused by ammo that is too weak, a recoil spring that is too heavy or an ejector with the in correct geometry. Call Glock and ask them to send you a new recoil spring assembly and ejector. That should solve your problems.

    Considering a Taurus 1911 in 9mm

The PT1911 has a pretty bad reputation for reliability in the 45ACP model. 1911's in 9mm are finicky. Put those two together and I'd shy away unless you are really, really set on a cheap 9mm 1911 and don't mind if it is < 85% reliable. I'd recommend mags by Metalform ("Springfield" model)...

    Gainesville Gun Show Warning

Isn't the whole point of guns shows to stock up on beef jerky and crappy holsters?

    Loading 9mm at 1300fps

5.0gr of TG under a 90gr Sinterfire Frangible gets me an avg of 1428fps out of my G34. ;)

    Got mine today!!

Wow, I have been waiting for the Gen4 G26 to come out. Now my decision will be a more difficult. I can't wait to hear the range report. xr - I think it all depends on your definition of "match". XD's have always had pretty tight chambers, at least mine have. Glock barrels tend to be looser...

Serious recoil springs for serious recoil.

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=40143/Product/_3174_HOW_TO_MAKE_FLAT_AND_COIL_SPRINGS There you go. Buy some different gauge wire and have fun. If your smith is competent enough to SAFELY rechamber a barrel, modify the feed ramp , magazines, etc. making a spring should not be a problem...

Please share your RCBS lockout die tips and tricks

I simply get a charge to where I want it and fill a case. Then I take the case and place it under the lock out die so it just touches the metal portion on the underside of the die. I then adjust the stem of the die so that it the line on the stem comes about half way out of the die. That...

Herters 72 Super press on Ebay

What's the deal with the two powder reservoirs? I is just more capacity or something special?

Black soot on my handgun cases after shooting!

AA#7 is a pretty slow powder for 9mm. Slow powder plus a short barrel can equal more soot.

anyone have a Sig p238 that IS NOT a lemon?

M2 - The spring compressed itself that much in <200 rounds?!?!? That is crazy. They must have serious issues with their heat treating.

    STI or Remington 1911

I just took possession of a an STI Trojan (9mm) from Brazos Custom with their 3# trigger and some other go fast goodies. I can imagine another "low cost" 1911 coming close to the fit of the Trojan. It's super tight but functions just fine with my 135pf. The only gun that comes close to...

Easiest to Seat: Winchester or Remington Primers?

Ol'Joe and 1SOW - If you are ever in NH you are more than welcome to stop by my house and try out the LNL. If you give me a days notice I'll even tidy up my bench for you. I ASSURE YOU there is a huge difference seating the new Wolf (silver colored, never tried the gold) primers when...

When did carrying become forbidden on Airplanes?

The real myth is the assumption that planes must somehow be sealed to be pressurized. News flash... planes will leak air with or without bullet holes in them.

Easiest to Seat: Winchester or Remington Primers?

Thanks guys. It turns out the Winchesters were actually magnums. I know I can use magnums if I recalibrate my load for the hotter primer but that's too much work since the Remington's are available.

Easiest to Seat: Winchester or Remington Primers?

My question: Which is easier to seat using a Hornady LNL, Remington or Winchester primers? For the longest time I've been loading with my LNL using CCI primers. I've always used two up strokes and a good deal of force on the press handle to make sure the primers were seated. Recently, the...

    Range report PM9/SCCY CPX-1/Taurus PT111Pro

Kudos on a very nice, well written review. Were these all 'new in the box' guns? Any comments on the weight, length, smoothness and rest of the triggers?

If you were a WWII infantry soldier...

Stupid, off topic question: Were WW-II infantrimen of any origin given ear protection? I can't imagine what it must have been like to be on the front lines without hearing protection. I've often wondered if that was the reason we'd have to yell into the phone when talking with my grandfather.

"positive return mechanism"?? Seen on dillon and Lee but not hornady?

I might be wrong on this one because I'm currently about 100miles from my LNL but I believe you could accomplish almost the same thing by putting a spring on the case activated thingy. That said, I don't use a spring. Just gravity. The achilles heal in the LNL isn't the powder measure, it's one...
