Just picked up a nice slightly used Winchester 1200 Defender 12ga shotgun this past week. Noticing that the magazine tube extends almost completely to the end of the barrel. Has anyone mounted a light on this gun, and if so what did you use? Would like to to pick one up soon and have no idea...
Yeah I the newest gun I own is about 25 years old... and as you would guess its arguably the worst crafted. Find a nice OLD one someone has loved and treated with the respect it deserves!

Hoping for some suggestions for a relatively low power scope for a Ruger Model 96 .22lr lever action rifle. I am pretty sure its essentially the same reciever as the famously successful Model 10/22 rifle.
Never mounted a scope on a .22lr, but I hear its as easy as pie on this gun...
Definitely NOT entering SERIOUS competition... a newcomer to shooting clays here!
Thankyou all for your input/advice, it has given me alot to think about.
Perhaps I need to think more about a multipurpose shotgun.

Looking to buy first 12 gauge this next week, and I am just not that well versed in shotguns to say the least...

While I think the pythons have a nice trigger feel, the Smiths are just more to my liking.
If I had a Python it would ride safely in my safe (I know...
Whenever I take a new shooter to the range, I bring the model 19... it ruins them for all future handguns lol!
I start beginners out with .38sp lead wadcutters. Now these are lighter loads than fmj, so if you decide to fire self defense rounds later, expect more recoil/report... I pretty...
Just a beauty... I have always wanted to own a .41mag S&W... someday
Do you handload your own ammo, or pretty much buy it off the shelf? .41mag ammo prices are getting downright ridiculous.

This is interesting. I have felt for a while that S&W's newer guns just were'nt near the quality they were 30-35 years ago (but then again what is?). I have seen some of the "classic" line and performance center revolvers that were beautiful however. I do not own a Ruger, but have been...
Yeah I fired one recently and was suprised the trigger was really quite smooth. Do you own any other snubbies? Just curious as to how you felt the recoil compared...

more weight, less recoil... I have fired the LCR with wadcutters (which are a very light load) and the recoil is really evident.
I was suprised how much I liked the trigger on the LCR - much smoother than I expected... I have been spoiled by the smooth/linear S&W triggers
Its not a...
