So I just bought a Tikka T3X Lite Stainless in 7mm-08. I have noticed that the magazine that came with the rifle will only allow a standard COL round to be loaded, even though the rifle has a long action. The magazine has a spacer built into the rear of it which limits the OAL of the round...

For some odd reason I've been pricing single barrels lately. Mostly because I can't afford a good double. I have a cheap Italian O/U already. So I'm looking at the Browning BT-99 and I can't believe the price! Over $1100 for a single shot? What's so special about it?

I just purchased a 12" LOP Hogue Stock for my Mossberg, and it's a bit shorter than I'd like. Does anyone know what the standard LOP is for the Hogue Stocks? Or will this simply be the standard length that Mossberg uses?

All the Colt SAA's come with black plastic grips. I hope this doesn't sound stupid or make me look dumb, but... I was under the impression that rubber and plastic didn't exist back in the 1870's when these guns were first introduced. Does anyone have a knowledge about this?

I looked at a M&P compact a few weeks ago. It was alright. Nothing special. I just brought home a fullsize M&P 9mm. Glock's glory days are over. Unless they get off their laurels and do some radical, long overdue, grip frame and cosmetic changes, the M&P is going to eat their lunch.

I haven't shot it yet, but I don't think I'm all that crazy about it. It seems to be a well made product, but I don't like the width of the shoulder pad and I don't think I'm a pistol grip type of guy. Anyone have anything in a short LOP synthetic type stock they may want to trade?

Gelatin results don't distinguish it from a 9mm. It holds less rounds and has more recoil. Does it do anything that would make it preferabld to either the 9mm or 40s+w? Barrier penetration, etc.? I want to like the round but I can't find any justification for it's existence.

Has anyone noticed that the 7 shot S&W's don't have as nice a trigger as the 6 shooters? The timing is not as "timed" with the sear release. The cylinder stops and then there is a bit of stacking before the hammer falls, making a poor trigger on par with a Ruger. The quality at S&W...

Who carries Norma 8x57JS ammunition? From what I've read that stuff looks pretty darn good. 196gr Vulcan and 196gr Oryx at over 2500fps!

Given that the 8mm is a european cartridge that has been and is being loaded to a moderate 55,000psi, even though I'm sure it could go to 60,000psi very easily in a modern rifle, why did SAMMI put the American limit at 35,000psi. They castrated a great cartridge. Was it diameter envy?
