    Ar-10 v dsa fn/fal

I was multi-tasking when I read and posted in this thread and didn't make anything clear. Right or wrong, agree or disagree, I meant to say that IMHO, the FN platform is not as stable a platform as the AR10 and secondly I disagreed that a bolt action rifle is more accurate for long distance...

    Lever action 3-/30s

(I meant 30/30s on the title) I took a couple of my open sight 30/30s out yesterday. I had forgotten how much fun those rifles are. I got fairly good at quick, open sight snapshots from using a Daisy Red-Ryder BB rifle to knock down swallow nests from under the eaves year after year. Weird...

    Ar-10 v dsa fn/fal

1858, its a Hensoldt 6-24 x 72, 2nd Imag Plane scope. And, Ash........ My disagreement was with the observation that the AR 10 platform stands second to the bolt action as a long range moa and sub-moa platform. Stewart Wilson has proven that to be erroneous many times over. And Ash my friend...

    Ar-10 v dsa fn/fal

Yeahhhh, I guess sheer numbers gives you uncommon insight?:D Right! We could each consider the other dead wrong, but none of this is that important, is it.

    Ar-10 v dsa fn/fal

Are you hollering, Mr. Ash?:) Had you read the write up or followed current developmetns you'd have seen that a few semi-autos are indeed in that category, and all of them on the AR10 platform.

    Ar-10 v dsa fn/fal

Is the FN plaform not exactly the same? "The FAL is vastly more accurate than the AK. It is an accurate platform. The Israelis developed a sniper based on the FAL, as did the Brits. It would work very well in the DMR role, as well as any SVD. It is not, nor was it ever intended to be, a...

    Ar-10 v dsa fn/fal

This is for Ash, and I hope its not too much infor mation. This is my rifle that arrives next thursday. Its being fine tuned through the weekend. It comes with a guarantee to perform a minumum of moa at 1,000 yards. This is the gentleman who made it. "This looks like Afghanistan...

What do you do if your wife or girlfriend simply rolls her eyes at your advice?

So, I'll put on my flame proof underwear before you read this. And its not directed at anyone at all. Right or wrong, its just a story. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (And this first part isn't me, obviously, but I know her pretty well...

    Brownells is working hard

Last week I went to Brownells and found our entire product line gone except for scope mounts. My Dad called and the head buyer said that they were adding the products back in one at a time with new photos and copy. She said that the search function would take alittle time too.

Anyone, Besides Me, Wanting to De-Tacticalize?

It began with a Winchester 30-30 lever action and a Model 12 standing against the wall and .38 revolver on the chair. Then came the first AR10, then the AR15. Wow! Then they came faster, the Valmets, the Famas, the M14s, the Sig AMTs, then the PE57s, the Sig 550s and 551s, whoa!...... The...
