I have also been looking at safes and dicks sporting goods seems to have some good prices ($400+) for fireproof safes. Take a look at their site, they may have something affordable for you.
I just bought the 15x today...waiting on FFL to ship it though as Colorado (and I'm sure other states) is darn near impossible to get an AR in. I am excited though to get a hold of it and give 'er a go :)
the scope listed by mp510 is basically what I got. I was going to go with an eotech 553/555 but wasn't sure I wanted to spend the $650 on it. I also liked the fact that this has multiple magnifications. Like I said, it hasn't been to the range yet, but if it sux...it'll go back. This scope...
Arite...added a few things...so of course I need to post a new pic! Still loving my SA rifle...and for mags, I've been using the thermold without any issues at all. I've found the 30 rd thermold magazines for $11 each!
Hey All!
I just bought the NcStar 1.25-4x Tactical Scope for an M4A3. From what I've seen in the 30 minutes I've played with it, it seems like a great scope and for $129 it seems even better. It has a light up reticle and 1.25-4X zoom. I have not had it to the range yet, only mounted and...
Nice rifles MDeViney! Hey GunNut, glad you mentioned you had issues with the magpul magazines. I was going to pick some up, but think I will decide against it. I've been using the thermold (found some for $9.99) and they have worked great so far, and are very low cost :)
Hey Kejam...I got mine from Jensen Arms also. I think Johnny helped me, he's was awesome and yea, the price was right and they were very nice and helpful there. Thats a great store there, hope they keep selling alot of Superior Arms rifles out there. I'm planning on making a trip back up...
It was HSM reloads I got from the local Army surplus. $15 for 50 rounds seemed like a good deal, but I'm done with reload ammo now. Some day down the road I'd like to get into reloading my own rounds, but I need more research and funds to get setup. I'm going to try the brush and cleaning...
Fletcher posted a big part of my issue also. I guess it's two fold...The price of gas ends up taking more money I would have to spend on ammo, but dang...ammo's outrageous these days also. It can be tough to drive to work/school/anywhere everyday and still have the money for an expensive...
That great OS! Spending time with your kids is always a great thing. I bought a .22 bolt for my son at 5 and he loves to go out shooting. Guns are a great way to show responsibility to a child while showing them a good time. Kids look up to their fathers a lot and guns are at first...
I had two types of ammo that I was using. One was Sellier and Bellot, the other was a reload from HFM or FHM (not sure) but it came in a bright yellow box. I'm pretty sure it was the reload that cracked. No more reloads for me anymore.
Seabee, "I just think they look cool" seems like a pretty justifiable reason to get one ;) But really, they are great fun! I've only had mine for a few months now but it is my favorite rifle. As you know from the service they are easy to shoot, and get some great looks from people not knowing...
