i have shot .380s for years. the problem with them isnt the caliber, but the platform that has been offered for the last 30 or so years!. case in point is davis, jiminez, and many others chambered in .380 leave much to be desired. if you really want a .380 that will last you a life time or two...

i sent mine back to colt for this exact problem.they sent it back two months later.it still does the same thing!. the only thing that changed is im 90 dollars poorer!.be careful mine now drops the hammer when you relese the safety.so much for sending something back to colt for repair...

number 1 came from factory with adjustable trigger back in 79 or 80 thereabouts. 220wift. trigger set crisp as a cucumber. been the demise of many prarie dogs when i lived in the texas panhandle.
i LOVE my double star a2 carbine. 16 in barrel,topped off with an eotech. totally trouble free after 2 years of hand loads.i would highly recomend them.
