Like others have said MOST of the state outside of Chicago is pro gun and for ccw. It all comes down to we that do not reside in "the city" don't have enough in population to give Chicago and it's ilk the boot in the a$$ it so much needs.

I had this same problem with a Kahr CW 40. I would ALWAYS shoot to the left with it no matter what I did and how hard I tried not to. What I did was; got rid of the CW 40 unfortunately as I could not see having to learn how to shoot a gun that just wasn't a good fit for me.

I found the Kahr CW40 to be a very reliable piece. I put over 1100 rounds through it with no major malfunctions. The only thing I would recommend is; try before you buy. After all this time and a pretty large round count I finally gave up and traded the Kahr to purchase another firearm.

I have had my Kahr CW40 for some time now and over 1k rounds through it. It has functioned great. I thought I was half way decent with it up til I bought a Springfield XD9SC. At 10 yards i can shoot the 10 ring out of a small silhouette with the XD9 but with the Kahr I have always and still do...
Changing the sights on the CW40 is not an option. As far as what ammo used, I have read that 180 grain did best in the CW40. I have had mine for a while now and this is what I use (1k rounds and counting).
I have the very same pistol, it hates Remington Gold Dots. It has taken everything else I've tried. I mostly use the Federal 510s (blue box) rounds from Wally world.
I would take a look at the CZ compact. I was recently looking for a compact nine and really liked it. Though this is not what I ended up with it seems to fit the bill for your needs.
