I usually have a gun when I'm out hunting or shooting.

No Glocks. I refure to spend money on something when the designers haven't even made an attempt at aesthetics. The plastic aspect doesn't endear me to them either. Or the lack of a safety. Or their popularity with gangsters and mall ninjas. Or their dull meaningless names. Or their egotistical...

I was starting to get a little offended by this, but I laugh whenever they unfairly take the piss out of any other group, so I can't rightly complain when the tables are turned.

There are better calibers, but there are much worse too. I completely agree on the 'unload the whole damn gun in his chest' policy, the best way to make sure a caliber does its job.

If you are lucky, every round you fire will be a fatal hit, and every round they fire will be a wide miss. A lucky person doesn't need to be good. Sadly, luck doesn't tend to be consistently prevailent.

For some reason I've always wanted to carry my 'fun' (non-ccw) handguns, things like Lugers, SAAs, et cetera on a short term experimental level, despite the risk of having a less than perfect lifeline. Anyways, what's the most unusual/impractical ccw you've ever carried?

It's great owning a gun that is just the way you want it, and is suited to you and no-one else. I think 1911s are my favourite tinkering platform; so much to do...

I came to THR first, and have yet to find a reason to leave. I only ever visit other sites when I'm in the mood to put my feet up, pour a gin and tonic and enjoy a nice bitter and protacted flame war...

Best of all, it doesn't break the "don't point a gun at anything you are not willing to destroy" rule.
