    Browning Challenger

I have a Challenger I bought in 1964. It has been shot many thosands of times. Never jams. With that tall front sight I can shoot targets to 100 yards well enough to be fun.

    The Marlin 39 Club

I've made lots of spacers from scrap vinyl sideing. Even made a bullseye from a white plastic tube filled with black JB weld. Looks like the real thing. DO THE RIGHT THING

Marlin 100 Range Report - and question about age.

My 100 is a Tom Mix special. I think it was made in 37 to 38. It has a steel trigger guard and butt plate.

    The JC Higgins Model 31

I traded a model 30 that had the handle on the left side. This model 30 has it on the right. Seems as if they changed things according to the parts supply. Still a well made gun.

    The Marlin 39 Club

The mountie was missing the front sight, I put a set of glow sights from a contender classic on it. It is more fun to shoot at moving targets. Both shoot about the same, as far as I can tell with open sights. The 39A is more accurate on a still target(Williams peep),but I need good...

    The Marlin 39 Club

Been enjoying this for a while. Finally got my computer back so I'm trying some pictures. First gun I bought myself was a Golden 39A,about 1960. Had to sell it. In the last few years I've added these. A 39A made 1954 and a Mountie made 1964. They are beautiful to look at and to shoot. Real...

Longest distance did you ever shot regardless of caliber??

500 yds. with various 222 mags. A crow at 300 yds. with a Winchester model 70 in 243 cal. Long ago I won bets shooting at a quart oil can at 100 yds with my Browning Challenger. So many hits per clip. Dont remember how many hits, but won lots of bets.

Most Accurate Auto .22 Pistol Under $400?

My old Browning Challenger is hard to beat. Can't hold her steady anymore tho. Have tremors. Old age is hard on accuracy. Can still hit a squirrel head at 30 yds.

    The JC Higgins Model 31

My model 30 has the bolt handle on the left side. My model 31 has the handle on the right side. The handle seems to be the only visible difference. I would like to have a 28 and 29. Also have a 33. All have higgins scopes. 2 of them have 1" tubes.
