One problem with most magazines be it stick or drum is the spring. You don't have that problem with a belt fed gun. It also doesn't take nearly as long to load a new belt as some have implied.

What part of forum appropriate do you have a problem with? This is a gun thread. Not a 4th amendment thread. Your type of faith in the so called gun-community needs a lot of work.

Of course it is not the ONLY one we should be concerned about. But there is such a thing as being "forum" appropriate. This is after all a gun topic related forum. Just like the NRA is a gun related organization. Bitching about other topics is sort like putting socks on a rooster...

I'd say go ahead and get one. I like mine. I bought it about 15 years ago, new in the box for $75.00. Ammo is cheap to. Lots of fun to shoot.

I think the very idea of a firearm permit is repugnant and flies in the face of freedom. I have owned firearms for most of my adult life and I have never had to have a permit to do so.
