Where I live, in Ohio, there just aren't many places that are posted. I guess I am lucky. The worst thing is trying to find a restaurant that does not have a liquor license but there are a few around. Other than restaurants, if I can't carry, I don't patronize.

I started out with an over/under 410/22. Then I moved up to a single shot 16 gauge. When my older brothers weren't using the Ithaca 12 pump, I would use that. Finally, I bought my own Remington 1100 12 gauge semi-auto which I still use 26 years later :)

As of September of this year we had major changes to our CC laws. You may now carry in rest areas. All of the signs are not yet down but they are in the process of getting them down. ODOT moves very slowly. It is perfectly legal to carry even though the signs are not down.
