If you have to mill your sight, check out Hamilton Bowen's front sight conversion for the J-frames. I had it done to my 442 and the difference is amazing. It is not inexpensive, but well worth the money.
Grant opened up his waiting list early last year. I suspect that he is still working on it. I was on it and ended up going to another well known S&W smith.
I wanted one since the first time I read about it. That was over a year and a half ago. I spent a lot of time on the S&W Forum asking for people's experience with them. It seems that everyone has had a problem. I asked flat out if anybody had one without a problem and no one stepped forward...
+1 for the Buffalo Bore Std Pressure 158gr LSWCHP's. I just switched to this load in my 442 and am so impressed with it that I started carrying it in my 3" 66. I chronographed it @ 885fps in the 2". There is hardly any muzzle flash, no leading, and as accurate as anything else that I have...
"Whether its safe or not to substitute large rifle for large pistol primers is very questionable. Not something I'd do nor recommend. I realize with the primer shortage some will try about anything, but safety must be forefront in this hobby."
+1 Thank you!!!
Carbon 15 - the depth or thickness of a large rifle primer is greater then a large pistol primer. I doubt you could seat them flush let alone below flush. Small pistol and small rifle are the same.
"you can't even do that now......the primer pages are "blank"
Steve H - Press the "Remind Me" button and get on the list. It is working as of 6PM Saturday.
Midway hasn't accepted backorders on primers for months. That's why they created the waiting list. If you miss a shipment, put yourself back on the waiting list.
John, as I said, it fixed the problem for me. I'm using it with 9mm and I no longer have powder jumping out. I found out about the spring while at the SHOT Show from the engineer who designed the press. Give CS a call. They know about the spring.
Peter - there is a fix for the spilled powder. RCBS has a lighter detent spring. I just emailed them and they sent it out. Fixed the problem for me. It is part #88037 - Piggyback Index Ball Spring.
I purchased a couple thousand 145 Silvertips from Midway last year. I was at the SHOT Show and as of two weeks ago, the Silvertip line was alive and well. Winchester is just way behind like everybody else. I have been told that they only run them once or twice a year, so you have to grab them...
RM,
Have you searched the IDPA Forums? There are several threads on the subject. Also, there is a bunch on the Brian Enos Forums too. :)

I have been using Marvelux for over 15 years and like rcmodel said, it works great without all the smoke, muss & fuss. I would be careful with charcoal. There are binding agents in them that may not react well with lead.
They did come out in February and there have been several threads about them on the S&W Forum. It does seem like every one of them has had a problem right out of the box. It sounds like S&W takes care of most of the problems, but not all. I'm still asking if anyone has bought one new with no...
I will assume you are using 30-30 brass and not 375. Is your brass new or used? Hopefully, it is new. Used brass can bring it's own problems to the bench and most 30-30 brass is not known for being consistent in the first place. That is why I always sized my 30-30 brass first. I also...
