Calling all of you who carry a 1911.

In over four decades of handgun experience, seems I've tried em' all. I prefer a Lightweight Commander for CCW. Awesome trigger and safety design. Relatively slim, light and compact. Eight rounds (Or more) of .45 ACP on tap. I can have it my way, AFA grips, sights, etc.,. Works for me...

    A most unusual experience today

Not necessarily. We have a bobcat in our area who shows similar behavior. Critters do what they have to ref. adapting to their environment.

What's Your Real CCW?/Mr. Colion Noir

I've carried 3"-5" 1911's in Milt Sparks SS/SS2 and VM II holsters, over many decades. Never had a problem with hammer or grip safety digging into my side.

What's Your Real CCW?/Mr. Colion Noir

You'll see racism where you want to. Reckon he could of been a bit more eloquent, but I believe I get his drift. There is no denying that there are packs of ferals out attacking folks. The ethnicity of those involved can be gleaned quite readily on the internet.

What's Your Real CCW?/Mr. Colion Noir

I usually end up with at around $1,000 invested in a CCW piece, not counting leather. Over the decades that carry has been a Lightweight Commander, more often than not. I'm not a rich man, but will save my $ to afford quality equipment. I have associates who carry the mouse guns. Not for me...

What's your age group and what do you carry?

I use, and recommend, Perry suspenders. They allow this old fart with a bad back to carry a full-size N-frame .44 without discomfort.

    Squirrel Everywhere

Funny how life turns out sometimes. Many moons ago I did some squirrel hunting in Pa. I now live in the middle of a 66 acre botanical gardens, which includes a large pecan grove. Must be a couple hundred of em'. Can't hunt here, so I just enjoy their shenanigans.

    Willfully Incapable People

Guess there is no "Quote" available here. Personally, I couldn't care less what some girly-man thinks of me. I come prepared to deal with challenges presented in MY life. How I accomplish that is nobody elses business.

Where do you live? And why?

I'm living in Dallas, Texas. my son married a Texas gal and I don't want to miss my Grandgirls growing up. It's flat, dry and ugly here. Nothing to brag on that I can see. Got a lake a few feet away thats so polluted theres a warning ref. eating the fish. Can't swim in it and the only boating...

    What was your first revolver?

Bought my first revolver back in the early 70's. S&W Model 66 w/4" barrel. Sweet little cannon. Knew some Pa. State Troopers who lusted after it.

Is this a reason for a Judge or Governor?

Well, I don't carry a hoe around the home. A .44 pretty much always. YMMV.

Is this a reason for a Judge or Governor?

Seems this subject has come up min my personal life from time to time over several decades, without me really seeking it out. I worked in a gunshop for a bit some time ago. An older gentleman dropped off some ammo he had no use for. Included were some old (WW2 Era?) .45 ACP shotshells. Got me...

Is this a reason for a Judge or Governor?

Of course a hoe, axe, stick, etc.,. can be used to kill a snake. If one carries them regularly that's fine. A handgun can be toted fairly easily and unobtrusively. Some tears ago, I was tasked with killing poisonous snakes at work. Used a.357 Ruger 4" with dismal results. Management purchased...

    Single Action Defense

I care none whatsoever what the next fellow chooses for SD. "Speed is fine, but accuracy is final". That man knew something about gunfighting.
