Joining the Military could mean loosing your right to Carry

I think it only has to do with Public Affairs. How will it look if an off duty soldier shoots a civilian in self defense. It's terrible that a soldier can't carry a weapon for defense. I agree that this is probably a lawful order, but I hope someone disputes it before it affects all the branches...

    Beretta 21 opinions

Concur with JBP, CCI Mini Mags. Wish I could find some wood grips for it to play with. Maybe shave off a little width.

    Awb ?

This may have been covered, but I was unable to find anything with a search. If , there is legislation in motion to continue the AWB, but it doesn't take place immediatly following the sunset next month, does that mean that because of that short lapse of the ban that all post Sept 94...

    Springfield Customer Service

Well, I called Springfield on Monday to check on my Micro Compact. They said it was finished and that it was actually a defective slide. I think he said it was a defect of the "track" in the slide where it mounts to the grip frame / slides along the grip frame. I got the feeling that if I...

Your actual experience with the Beretta 92FS/M9

I qualified on the M9, on average twice a year, for ten years in the Army and once with the Coast Guard. I had no problems and saw no problems. I also purchased a 92S, used, 12 years ago before I joined the military to practice. I have put at least 2000 rounds through it with only 2 or 3 stove...

    Springfield Customer Service

Broke Well looks like I'll be voting on my own poll. I ordered a Micro Compact on Monday, and picked it up on Tuesday. Then I bought a few differant brands of ammo and headed out to try out my new toy. I've had good luck with white box but I thought I'd try UMC first. I loaded and then fired 5...

    Springfield Customer Service

"I guess this is a two-edged sword. While SA has been good to me, I would prefer to not have needed their support." That's how I feel. Kimber has a good reputation, maybe slightly less risk than a SA but for the price differance and the hopefully better support if needed, I think I'll...

    Springfield Customer Service

Haven't heard much about it. I'm planning on ordering a SA Micro Compact tomorrow. I also like the Kimber CDPs but here's why I chose SA. The store/FFL I'm ordering from orders their stuff straight from AccuSports and keeps no stock on hand. They quoted me $901 out the door for the...

    Pocket Pistol w/ safeties?

Thanks Thanks for all the great input. I'm going to start looking into some of the larger .380's. How does the Colt mustang compare in size to a compact 1911?

    Pocket Pistol w/ safeties?

Any small pistols, besides the berettas, with "traditional safeties"/ external safties, which make the trigger inop? I know the kahr's and keltecs are out, anything else that size? I'm thinking the other 380's are the only thing but they're all a little bigger. I was asking because...

    why buy a .38 and not a .357?

I thought I read here a while back that S&W did not recommend shooting 38 out of the 357 / 38 too much.

    Easy Revolver Question

Thanks I was asking because I've been shooting most of my life, in the military and elsewhere, but only carrying a year. I'm looking for a light reliable gun. Something that's comfortable in the summer. I'm concerned about the external safety, even though, as soon as I get home my gun goes...

    Easy Revolver Question

I have very little experiance with revolvers. Besides internal safeties do revolvers such as the S&W 642 or the 340PD have a safety which will not allow the gun to fire if the trigger is pressed?

    1911tuner: Do small 1911's work?

I'd really like to know as well. I've spent the last 6 months deciding what to get and saving up my money. Now I have the money but can't get a good feeling about one compact 1911 over another. The question is: "take a chance with what is preceived as a more reliable pistol from kimber or go...

    1911 Adjusting

I'm real close to buying a 1911, but I see many post refering to making adjustments. Is this something that all 1911 require on a regular basis. Say every 500 rounds. I have a Beretta 92S that has run flawlessley for the last 11 years / 1500+ rounds.

    Help, Buying a Compact 1911

ArmyAviator- I think I made about 8 return trips to Rucker and spent most of my 10 years as a scout pilot. As for the fundamentals of reconnaissance… it goes something like this: GORD-E, Gain and maintain enemy contact, Orient on the recon objective, etc. etc. But now I’m working on the...
