I have a ~1998 model Taurus PT940 (.40 S&W). This is an all SS gun.
It has functioned flawlessly with over many rounds, but recently came across an issue - the ejector simply came off loose!:uhoh:
I have inspected the ejector, but don't notice anything unusual (but I don't haven't something...
I am interested in buying a P7 or P7M8. I have read up on the history / specs of the guns, but I can't decide whether to get a P7 or P7M8. Would like your opinion.
I know, the P7M8 is made for US market - has the mag release in the usual location and the heat-shield under/inside the trigger...
I don't see a 7.62x51 to a 7.62x25 adapter at that link. What am I missing?
I would like to use Tok ammo in my 308 / 30-06 bolt action. Would the adapters also work in a semi-auto rifle?
My experience with SIGs is limited to the P220 in .45 and SIGPRO 2022 (poly) in 9mm.
Both have decent SA triggers (DA's are very heavy), but I have seen better triggers on the FNH HP, even on the lowly Taurus 92AFS. Of course, SIGs are built like an old Mercedes (1991 350SD!), keeps on chugging...
Excellent SIG for the money. The DA pull is bad, but I always use it in SA mode since it also has the decocker. Recoil is very controllable for a Poly, but I generally prefer the all metal guns. I bought mine new for $400 w/ NS.
Enjoy.
