    Justifying reloading -- 7.5x55

Take your set up cost (press, scale, caliper, etc) as your biggest investment. Reload for the other rounds that you shoot. That will spread your cost out. If you only plan to reload for one caliber it may not be worth it unless you shoot it alot. On a sidenote, brass can be loaded several...

"deerhunter61 G33, Great looking rifle! How does it shoot? " I spent every penny I had on the rifle so I haven't been able to buy any bullets yet.:scrutiny: Might order me up some 270 reloading supplies tonight though. The Tikka T3 is next on my list.

    CZ Rifles....

I just picked up a CZ 550 full stock in 270 yesterday. Spent all my money on the gun so I couldn't get no ammo or reloading supplies for it. I'm impressed with the targets posted on here. Hope it shoots as good.

Any danger in going under the starting load?

Do you own a caliper? If you have one, you shouldn't have to worry about seating too deep. If you don't have one, you should get one. YMMV

    getting started reloading shotshells

"I figure a can reload slugs for $.24-$.30 a round while paying for lead, but if i can use wheel weights, that cuts even more cost." Check your local garages to get them or a local junkyard. The garages usually give them to me but the junkyard up charges 55 cents a pound.

    getting started reloading shotshells

I've loaded about 300 to 400 slugs(casted with the Lee slug mold), 300 to 400 buckshot, and about 500 or so birdshot with my Lee Load All 2. Still works fine. Looks and feels cheesy but seems to get the job done.

    cheapest way to resize shotshells?

I use the Lee Loadall 2 to load buckshot and slugs. I've loaded a few thousand rounds of them with out any problems. You can use regular hulls (AA,STS,etc) with a fold crimp. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=436640&t=22164010 YMMV.

    COL?

I tried searching, and I'm sure it's been asked before, but what do you use for a COL? I have the Lee modern reloading book and Mettalic catridge reloading and they list the Max overall length and the Min overall length for each finished cartridge but not what to use for a COLon the cartridge...

    Why I Like Lee Equipment

"Here's a little instructional video I made showing how to load slugs on the Load-All II. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...36516648660322" I ordered some Lee slugs off of Ebay and that was the same video posted on the link.

    Birdshot to Buckshot

Is it safe to convert a birdshot recipe to buckshot? For example, 16 pellets of #2 buck weighs between 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 oz (pg 70 of Lyman 4th ed.). Can I take a 1 1/8 or 1 1/4 oz birdshot recipe and substitute 16 pellets of #2 buck (or whatever else is that weight)?
