If the Remington Golden Saber 125g JHP is loaded lower than most factory 125g ammo, can I use it in my Model 66 without the risk of damage? Right now I also only shoot 140g or above also.
IMO ditch the LCR.357 magnum out of that little gun doesn't make sense IMO. Big Bang leaving you deaf, Big Flash leaving you blind, excessive recoil which means your follow up shots are going to be very hard to keep on target. Then when the bad guy is on top of you your left with a polymer...
Smith and Wesson 686p 4 inch barrel. Don't buy a colt overpriced and overrated. Plus Colt isn't making revolvers anymore, parts, warranty etc. Would be a concern.
Jitterbug, I just got a 629-2 MG 4 inch I'd say 95% condition for $495 OTD here in TN. Sorry to hear prices are so high in Colorado. They handle great and balance well, this handgun has me wanting to reload for the first time.
I'll suggest a gun other than laugh and crack jokes, because I've already laughed too much. Smith and Wesson Mountain Gun in 44 magnum loaded with 300gr Keith style bullets. I would like to recommend a Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 casull, but my goodness the felt recoil Oh mylanta! I know felt...
If your wanting to keep it cheap and brandname means nothing to you then I'd suggest a Ruger GP100 4 inch stainless. My personal choice would be a Smith and Wesson 686plus 3 inch barrel. Ruger is as cheap as I would go. Seen too many Rossi .357 revolvers have issues to ever trust my life to one.
Radagast, the pachmeyer grip on it has a slot in the bottom of the grip so you can read the serial number. Only 5000 were run like this? Any reason S&W would only make 5000? Do you think it was produced in 1988 or 1989 or the mid 90s like you metioned? Is one more desired by collecters? Thanks...
Lets see that MAK90 back in 2007 for $300 shoulda bought it from a friend's boss. Russian SKS Ishvek 1954 rare SKS. Thought I was gonna let a 629 pre stamped mountain gun slip away too, but I put it in layaway today.
I have never owned a Single Action, which is bad since I own a nice cowboy rig that needs a Six shooter. I have owned only Rugers and Smiths in DA revolvers and I kept the Smith and Wesson's. Ruger's are built tougher but Smith's have always felt better to me. I would like a nice Single Six or...
Back again with a new Smith. My newest toy is a pre stamped mountain gun(I hope)?
a)44 magnum
b)4 inch barrel
c)Round butt(I do believe)
d)6 shot
e)adjustable sights solid black, no white outline on rear, no red insert on front sight ramp.
f)BVD98xx
g)629-2
Hope this is a mountain gun, it only...
