It's the "put something ridiculous on your accessory rail" thread!

Glock actually makes one of those now. Seriously. If that's not the defining "mall ninja" thing then I don't know what is. :barf:

    S&W .45acp revolvers????

Model 22. Model 625. My Great Grandfather brought back the model 22 he was issued in the First World War. Smith and Wesson variety. in pretty good shape but it has some honest wear on it.. I don't doubt for a second that it had been used at some time. My uncle keeps it locked up in his...

    Self Defense In An Apartment

neither. .45 ACP all the way. shotguns makes too much of a mess, and I don't think the owners would appreciate pulling pellets out of the walls. 9mms are a little to small for my taste. and .22lr are nearly worthless in a defensive role... .22 magnums are another story...

Are 1911s more finiky than regular semis

1911s in general, are not finicky with ammo. The so called "problem" with 1911s are mostly magazine related. As long as the gun is properly fit, and you are using good magazines and ammo (not "guns how specials") you are fine. That being said, smaller (officer model and compact/sub compact)...

Why do so many people complain about magazine disconnects?

Problems with magazine disconnects? hmm.... 01. More parts that complicate the operation of the weapon 02. screws up the trigger pull 03. requires that you have to have a magazine in while dry firing (accident waiting to happen) and the last, and most important thing about them...

Is cheep .45 Ammo No MOre? Need Help.. Too Da*n Expensive

I managed to get some WWB .45s about a month ago in Walmart 300 rounds for about $100. about $35 a box of 100. That's all I've found since Osamma took office. I heard that the SD ammo (Hornady TAP, Hydro shock, Black Talons) is all but gone...

    Most reliable AR15 trigger upgrade?

I've heard nothing but good things about the RAA 2 stage trigger. For a single stage trigger, it's hard to beat Chip McCormick. They usually run about 3 pound pull, but you can get them heavier too, I don't think they make them lower than 3 pounds..

    AR-15 barrel profiles

I personally would go with a .750 "medium" barrel. It's not light, but not super heavy either. Around 2.5 pounds.. add the upper, and lower, handgaurd, light, and optic/mount - a little over 7 pounds.. Not "lightweight" but it works as an all around Carbine. Handy too. Since the standard...

    NFA barrel length?

Thats true. never thought of that. I'm new to the whole rifle thing so I want to know what is legal and what is not. I am also looking for a new AR for my 18th birthday and I prefer the smaller carbine length like around and M1 length

    NFA barrel length?

What would I have to do to get an Ar-15 with a barrel length under the 16'' standard. Like something like a 14.5 in bbl. I know I would need to have a class 3 permit and all but how would I legally be able to build/purchase one without an LE or military ID.

    Rock River AR 15

Well you also have to remember, a lot of LE agency's and Military use RRA rifles. The DEA are contracted with RRA for their standard model carbine. I know it sucks for the civie like you and me, but RRA focus more on their Government contracts than joe schmo who wants a new bang-bang for...
