    Guns to make you cringe

This has been a great thread and is quite interesting. I wish that some evidence rooms would remove and sell some hard to find gun parts that are still in excellent condition instead a of throwing them away. A 4" blued S&W Model 19-5 barrel would be nice!

Earmuffs and Ear Plugs worn together

I use plugs and muffs. For rifle shooting, I sometimes have to make adjustments due to muff interference. I wish that I had done the same while duck hunting 40 years ago. Once it's gone, it doesn't come back.

    350legend issues.

I'm using 165 gr. FTX and H110. My bolt action Savage Axis seems to get good groups. Using the same load with new AR15 results in about a 6+ inch group from the sixth round on until the barrel is cleaned. Gas looks good, with the cases all landing at 4:00 on the ground. I tried a slightly...

    350 Legend scope

I bought the VX-Freedom 3-9X40mm 350 Legend Duplex for my Savage Axis 350 Legend and put it on a Picatinny rail with EGW mounts. The glass looked good and once set up on the number 1 at 100 yards, it can easily be dialed to number 2 to hit at 200 yards. I liked the scope so much I bought an...

    What's doing with the NRA

Right now, the NRA is like a toothless dog, or maybe a better analogy would be a swimmer trying to swim on the ocean with a leg iron attached, and that weighted leg iron would actually be Wayne LaPierre, clutching and clawing at the struggling swimmer to save himself. With all the internal...

S&W 442 Grips vs Arthritic Hand

You might want to think about taking your 442 to a competent gunsmith and having the trigger pull lightened. With arthritis, simple things can can start to get difficult, like getting a credit card out of a wallet, loosening a gas cap, tying shoes, or shooting a gun. As you know, you want zero...

Wet Tumbling with Stainless Steel Pins - Media Separation Tips?

I bought 5 gallon elastic paint strainer bags off Amazon. I line a bucket with one. I have an RCBS media separator that I cut the very bottom out of by using a sharp blade, going in a circle inside the bottom, and using the sides as a guide. It’s now dedicated to this task. I put the bucket...

High(er) end or Brand name firearm disappointments.

I have a baggie that contains broken parts from my Kimber Ultra Carry. It's a tack driver, but mag releases, slide locks, extractors, etc., all broke.

    Romanian 22 bolt action rifle

These don't feed from a clip but rather a from a magazine that is inserted from below. In 2000, they cost about $60-$65 each.

    Anybody load TAC in 223?

I don't have any bolt action .223s, but in my ARs it's 24.5 gr RAMSHOT (Western Powders) TAC with a Hornady 55 gr FMJ, and this works well. I guess that I'll have to get through my last two 8 lb. canisters of powder before I buy anything from the new owners.

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

We'll see how well the Inline Fabrication quick mounts and storage brackets work. I'm changing out my press mounts, adding quick mount plates for everything, and rearranging my reloading bench. It all started with adding another press earlier this week and a bench priming tool. It grew from...

Questions on use of Infante S9 ultrasonic cleaner

Has anyone used the Infante S9 ultrasonic cleaner for handguns and AR15s? I'm looking for feedback on how well they work when the proper cleaning solution is used and the directions are followed for cleaning handguns, AR15s, and other guns. I'm not too concerned with cleaning brass since I am...

    Arisaka: correct caliber issue

How do you tell the training rifles from the real thing? When I was younger, I remember hearing about problems from people trying to fire full loads in training rifles since the trainers looked so similar and they didn't know that they were trainers. I'm not sure what ammo the trainers were...

    NRA

As an NRA member (Benefactor), I am torn between telling you to do so 'because it's the right thing to do' and the undisputed fact that LaPierre and company have wasted millions of dollars through misuse and self-aggrandizement to the detriment of the NRA and our great country. They must go...
