    where to shoot?

C 2, I have heard that place referred to from the Appleseed board. Sorry, don't know where it's at, I ain't from that area. :)

    Can I get your HO...

I like the Browning Hi-Power, fits my hand well, but I would suggest the CZ-75. My insurance agent has/had one in .40 and I got the chance to shoot it. Not too bad.

What piqued your interest of revolvers?

I like firearms, in general. I liked the Ruger GP-100 and found a good deal on a KGP-161 .357 Magnum. And one day, like and idiot, I traded it off on something else. :banghead: A fix-sighted Taurus Model 65 4" just didn't have the same appeal and I traded it off. :cuss: Haven't had a...

Accurizing one of my old 22LR rifles?

Perhaps his Marlin was a 925, Nevadasmith? http://www.marlinfirearms.com/Firearms/BoltAction22/925.asp Of what you have listed, I agree that a good cleaning (and shooting) of what you have to determine their state of accuracy would be in order (as your time permits). It's easy to spend a...

    marlin 1894c .357 magnum vs 16" AR-15 .223 rem.

Think twice about what you want to do. "If for some reason I find myself outside (say catch some guys breaking into my neighbors house) and the range may easily ecceed 30 yards, then I am probably more effective with a rifle than a shotgun." Depending upon where you live, say a very rural...

Para Ordnance PXT Super HAWG .45

I haven't exactly been following the powder-burning fun toys of late, concentrating on the cheaper to shoot air pistols (no range fees, 500 pellets for about $6) so I happened to go to a gun shop on the way home from a Dr. Appt this morning. Looking at all the nice pistols they had, wanting to...

Compromise 9mm gun for both range and CCW or don't compromise?

Not being an "expert" on the matter, I would say something with a single, consistent trigger pull that feels comfortable in the hand and on your body. That could be a GLOCK (which fits your hand best - mine likes the 17/22/31 "full-size"), an XD/M, M1911, "DAO"-type from a number of different...

Interested in competing w/ Crosman Air Pistol?

Don't know, but I can see that some make it shoot well enough for our little competition. http://www.crosman-air-pistol-owners-forum.com/board/index.php?PHPSESSID=0fda8cbf945e1d64eca02df7b5889839&topic=1290.0

Ruger GP 100 in .357 Mag - What's your opinion?

What's my opinion? Best handgun I ever owned (KGP-161), and like a dummy I traded it off. :banghead: Now, to buy new or used, I think they've gotten a bit too pricey for me to look for one again. Hope you get your situation resolved.

    Brady Campaign Facebook page.

Nope, never look for the Anti-Gun Brady Page or any other Anti-Gun stuff on FaceBook. Thanks to those who provided links of PRO-Gun pages, though. Per the 90210 part of this topic. Oh my, I'd long given up on that show by the time it aired, so I watched the YouTube clip. Aww, he used a...

"Gun Room" in Progress! Help please!

I know it isn't exactly a thread specific response, however. . . "SOUTHPAW...if it's gonna be a gun room, you've gotta have this... http://candy-crate.stores.yahoo.net/barfifsecag.html" Was I destined to find this thread? Not too long ago I had a dream about a new TV show. It was called...

Praise for Gander clerk in Charlotte area

    CCW and Bass Pro

"The notice applies to guns that will be handled in the store, e.g., bringing one in for sale, trade or repair, trying your CCW for holster fit, etc. They naturally want it to be confirmed unloaded and not confused with one they have in inventory. It is not meant to apply to lawful CCW as long...

New walmart ammo: orange/black swiss made ammunition

"It's lead, then steel, then copper. Stick a magnet on it. I thought of putting one through the band saw to check it out, but I shot the box I had (outdoors)." Hmmm, interesting. Maybe someone else can/would chop one for photo purposes.

    22 magnum size

"I think I recall reading somewhere that Ruger Single Sixes with changeable cylinders were never very accurate in 22 WMR because the barrel was sized for 22LR not 22 Magnum. But when I looked up the actual bullet diameter on wikipedia I got .224 for 22 WMR and .223 for 22LR" Actually, it's...

New walmart ammo: orange/black swiss made ammunition

Tyrannosullyrex wrote : "The indoor ranges around me won't let you shoot it due to it having a steel jacket." Do you have to buy Range ammo (purchase the ammo from them to shoot in their range)? Or do they wanna limit you to using lead only or the "Green" ammo? As far as I know it's...

Who has the best price on cardboard IDPA targets?

Looking at the prices there on the Target Barn, if you could make your own IDPA-shaped target out of some cardboard, you could use the Warren Paper Cutouts to use as "repairs".

Interested in competing w/ Crosman Air Pistol?

For me, it is reason to shoot an air pistol and enjoy shooting at a low cost vs shooting rimfire or centerfire at the indoor range which costs me $$$ every trigger pull. A tin of 500 pellets is minimal by comparison. I'm not exactly a competitive shooter, per se, so it's something different...
