My local Wallyworld has been depleted of ammo stocks for months. The only pistol calibers they've had was .40 and .25ACP. Rifle rounds are equally light... .30 carbine and some other oddball rounds.
Other places like Bass Pro Shop only had oddball pistol ammo... .454Casull and .500 S&W...

The slide is always going to be tough to release with an empty mag in place. The magazine follower pushes the slide stop up and causes the slide to remain open on an empty mag. Its designed that way.

I've got a Para Tac-Four (P13 LDA) thats stock (other than Wolf mag springs). Its been more reliable than my Springfield Champion, Micro, or even my XD. After reading on the net, their quality seems to be a little hit or miss... But the same could be said for other lg mfgs including the likes...
