The nickel cases resist tarnish etc and are easier to see in low ligh for chamber checks etc. The nickel cases are a little harder to size because they are harder than plain brass and have more friction than brass. My experience is that no the nickel cases will not last as long as brass...

I do reload and also cast my own. Cost was something I considered for a while but I didnt figure it would get shot all that often + casting and loading helps a lot.
