Ever Have A Gun With Such A High Round Count You No Longer Consider It Reliable?

I had an old drilling that I didn't trust to stay together, but I have no idea what the round count was.

    What's your Favorite Pistol Caliber?

Favorite caliber is the .22 because my favorite guns to shoot are .22s.

    Smith & Wesson M&P 22 pistol

The three of them are each in a slightly different market: 22/45 is a target pistol and will most definitely last forever. SR22 is a little plinker M&P22 is a full-size replica plinker I'm not sure if enough M&P22s have had a high round count yet to see how reliable and long-lasting they are.

Gun You HAD To Get, Got, Then Lost Interest

Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 Mag - I liked the single action, but like others have said, the size, shape, and accuracy overshadowed the fun. Desert Eagle .357 - wanted something to go with my Timber Wolf rifle, but not a revolver. Springfield 1911 V16, and a 9mm 1911 - turns out, 1911s don't...

How does Glock 17 (early gen) differ with Gen4 Glock 19?

This is kind of an odd question -- pretty much everything is different. The 17 has a longer slide and barrel and longer grip than the 19, and the Gen4 grip is different than the early-model GLOCKs. So you may have shot the 17 better because: - longer sight radius - more weight at the muzzle -...

Should I go with a Kershaw Tremor or a Rat-1 Knife?

Voted for the underdog RAT-1 to bring it to a tie. :D

    Living the warrior lifestyle

I think this was supposed to be the second link: http://cheaperthandirt.com/blog/?p=24077 Brandon Webb, president & executive media director at Sofrep.com blog and a Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (Class 215), offered perhaps the best survival advice we’ve seen regarding The Joker shootings...

What does the G19 have that the g17 doesn't??

G19 is just the right size: not too big, not too small, just right. That said, I sold mine for a Walter PPQ. It's even moreso just right.

Are Revolvers Actually better than Autos?

Coming in late; but here's a couple comments all the same. We can say that any good semi-auto can shoot 1" - 1.5" too. We'll just agree that any revolver or semi-auto that can't do that isn't "good." Timing issues can happen in any revolver. So can cartridge creep, cylinder binding...

How many rounds do you shoot per range session?

I'll blow through 500+ rounds of rimfire per visit, but I don't shoot that many per gun, so I checked 201 - 500.

    Berretta 21a Bobcat

I had a Tomcat for years and the frame didn't crack. It's just like a big 21a - fun and easy to shoot. Only sold it because my wife fell in love with the Ruger SR9c, and I sold the Tomcat for the exact purchase price of one! I really like my 21a too. While some might think it overkill...

Interviews, new jobs, and gun talk

If your workplace has annual harassment training, politics is usually included in the list of "subjects that can make a person feel uncomfortable and shouldn't be discussed at work." Gun rights and shooting tend to be included in that general umbrella. On the other hand, at some companies...

Beretta model 21A Bobcat in 22LR Question

Yep, you can only shoot it until it gets too dirty. But keep one of those Bore Snakes handy when plinking, and pull it through the barrel occasionally and the fun never needs to end!
