.303 British - Commercially produced cast bullet options?

You could likely get a lee sizer die and size bullet to whatever your rifle needs. They are affordable and work very well. Noe makes a trick sizing setup too. Have you slugged your bore? Will save time and precious components. My rifle came to me cheap since previous owner couldnt get it to...

    See All Open Sight

I have seen and used the smaller rmr style and the older mk1. For the price they work great. Example. The small rmr style fits perfectly on a 357 contender pistol that came without sights. Small amd unobtrusive, works very well here, no batteries needed. Id hate to scope it and setting up iron...

Any here shooting reloads from stock Glock barrrels?

I've heard tell of it being done and working very well : )

Trouble Shooting First Cast Loads in 30-30

If you load them light, or subsonic, the marlin should do fine with them. I've shot a few that did well even with the microgroove. Once i turned up the pressure, they did not shoot well with plain bases and 2400 or similar powders. Had gas check bullets do better for sure in the microgrooved...

    High End .22

A vudoo is worth a look. Will fit any rem700 stock, use rem700 triggers, ai pattern mag etc. It will shoot and they are top notch to deal with.

    Double vision sight picture

Thanks for the info everyone. She asked some of her family, and about half of them see similarly to me and the other half like her. Small sample of 6 people, but interesting. Never really thought of the double image thing since I simply don't see it , and never had anyone comment on it so...

    Double vision sight picture

Agreed on shooting with left eye closed. That's the plan, but we are both curious about the double vision thing. Do not need to be having to guess which target if you actually need to shoot something haha. If it's an eye dominance thing, shouldn't the double vision issue go away when shooting...

    Double vision sight picture

Hello all, So I just got a laserlyte and a couple targets. They are hoot, get some if you haven't tried them, especially with the crazy shortage stuff going on. I got Mrs Bullitt to get into it a little bit, so we started trying to have her shoot with both eyes open. Next question was pretty...

Bullet Weight for 20" Barrel w/ 1:7 Twist

55s should shoot fine, as well as the heavier AR suitable stuff. 77 class bullets, 62 or 69 should all will do just fine for any kind ir practical style shooting. I've shot plenty of 55s in 7 twist with no issue. Doubt twist will be an issue for you unless you go very light and thin thin...

    Pure lead <PB> bullets

I guess it depends on how your lead is, but I've had luck with soft stuff too. Powder coating and bore fit for the win there. If it helps, I've had 4570 success with a 405g noe wfn bullet, eds red home made lube, cast from clip on weights and water dropped get to about 1400 fps no problem from...

Shot Placement (Most Vital Spots Ranked)

Lottery ticket day for him lol. Animal heads move around very erratic like... not sure I'm good enough for that to be a running and gunning target : /. I'll stick to the biggest/best target available balance when the shot has to be taken I think. If center mass is there, heck yes. If face...

The 7.62x54r is still a viable caliber

I like it very much in the break action style rifle. That rim works for us well there, and it's way easier to find brass for than the 307 win lol.

    Is my ammo still good?

38 special ammo run through the drier and washer all went bang, 18 for 18 lol, for what that's worth of course. Ammo was federal 135 hst iirc.

Is hunting with a 10mm handgun recommended?

A glock 20 with a 6 inch barrel and red dot would do fine for deer here if you can shoot and take appropriate shots. A 200g xtp can make 1200 fps and a 180 xtp can easily do 1300 fps. 180 gold dots go a little faster, but they may over expand in some cases deer hunting. A 180 or 200 wfn cast...

SMALL PISTOL PRIMERS Sellier & Bellot

    Trail Boss in rifle loads

I've had good results using it in 308 3006 and 762 54r for subsonic cartridges. 2 or 3 moa out to 100 was very attainable in the 308. The Russian needed cast bullets to shoot, but that was a bore issue, not tb related. Wound up doing under 3moa pretty easily. 5.56 can be loaded down similarly...

What is the difference between a Glock 45 and 19x?

I think there might be some weird gen 4 gen 5 parts hybridization on the 19x, where the 45 is pure gen 5. I very well could be wrong. Hopefully someone will chime in and confirm or deny!

    6.5 Creedmore and .260 Remington

I'd say flip a coin. Supposedly the neck length on the 6.5 offers a barrel saving advantage, but I can't really say. I'd say it's a wash in terms of barrel life from a practical stand point. Shoot either and replace as needed. Ive used both cartidges and used the same components, minus brass...

16 Inch tavor vs 8 inch AR SBR

Curious on what you guys think of this one for terminal ballistics on 2 legged goblins. 16 inch 5.56 speed or 300blk Barnes blacktip goodness? Lets assume you have both rifles, and you know how to work them both equally well. You're also right handed for the Tavor's sake. Which one stands out...
