    ccw laws in Alabama

The only restriction I remember is that you're not allowed to carry where alcohol is served. A few buildings, like the Alabama State House where our outstanding legislature resides, do not allow firearms.

Colorado Springs Police considering selling off seized guns

A local Law Enforcement dealer periodically purchases confiscated guns and sells them. Over the years, I've picked up some decent deals like a 2 1/2" Diamondback for $225.00 and a first generation SAA with ivory stocks for $600.00. I passed on a pair of Colt 1903's for $100.00 each and I kick...

Scratch the web address previously posted. I had not been on it in a year or so, but the owner's manuals doesn't seem to be on it anymore. Sorry.

    I need a bolt

The Model 34 Remington is tube fed, the Model 33 is single shot. To the best of my knowledge, bolts for other models will not fit. You can check on e-bay, auction arms, etc. or try Jack First or call 615-206-0075, a gun shop in TN that carries some obsolete Remington rimfire parts. If you're...

    Reasonable Communication in B/S/T deals?

I recently purchased a set of 1911 grips on this forum and the seller was in wisconsin and I'm in Alabama. I mailed the money order the day after the sale and it took a week to get there. He notified me when he shipped and it took a week to arrive. Just long distances.

Do I need a lined holster for my SAA?

If you have an unlined holster, you can spray it with food grade silicon spray. It will take several applications, but you'll eventually feel it smooth out.

Inherited a bunch of old shells -- what to do?

If they're 2 9/16" shells, you can get a decent price for them. There are a good many 16 ga. A5 Browning floating around with the short chambers.

I use the sizing die with ear and eye protection. I've never had one detonate.

    Surefire EP3 SonicEarPro

I've used the Earpro and like it. The only problem I've had is I'm so old, the hair is falling off my head and growing like crazy in my nose, eyebrows and ears, so when I put the plugs in, my ears start itching.:)

    Remington 514 question

I don't think there's much you can do to lighten the trigger pull on that model. Its an old gun and the trigger mechanism may be gunked up. Try taking it out and cleaning it up and see if that helps.

    Loose rib on a double-barrel?

I had Simmons resolder the side ribs on a Superposed with excellent results. I had to wait about 6 weeks to get it back but the quality of work was great.
