my favorite gun is a browning stainless stalker in either a .270 win or my choice 7mm rem mag with a leopold vx III 50 mm 3.5 -10 scope considering u think a 30-06 is too much the .270 is the better choice for you
ya wax the bowstring once a month just get it at a local archery shop and rub a thin coat on the string and smooth with your fingers i oil the axles once every 4 years

well part of it is the kind of broadhead and the draw weight. most bows carry about 1 ft lb of kinetic energy per pound of draw weight with that being said it depends if u hit a bone or anything like that i shoot a 65lb compound bow at deer and it passes through every time. as for the head...

ive never had a problem taking big deer with a .243 i shot a thick bodied deer at 315 yards dropped it right there the farthest a deer has ever ran when hit by my .243 is 35 yards most took a step and fell over:D
